Michael took a deep breath himself, composing himself as best he could. Surprisingly, his hands were shaking. He made them into fists and shoved them into his lap to keep them steady. He almost, almost backed out of the whole thing, but instead he just focused on Del's voice. The wariness surprised him, but he knew she knew what she was talking about. "Okay. No talking." There was a little part of his mind that wondered if he'd be able to hold to that, if he'd be able to keep himself from screaming if whatever this was turned out to be truly horrible, but he didn't voice the concern. It was probably now or never for this, and he'd prefer the now.
