Navi could hear his heart beating, and it fascinated her. It was steady - not too fast, not too slow. She closed her eyes and counted it for a moment, wondering if hers was beating in tandem. When he agreed on her proposed idea, she felt almost certain that they were. "Good. You'll just have to make sure to tell me when your fights are. As long as they're at night, I'll be there. I'm off of work at two."
She looked at him after he'd gotten dressed, and shook her head in disbelief. He was gorgeous - all golden and dewy and yet somehow languid, even after winning a fight. He was like a lion, and it made her smirk to think that he wanted to hold her hand. She wanted to go flying, but not at the expense of the rest of the night. She decided to go after he'd left, whenever that was going to be.
She squeezed his hand as they ran, gulping in smog and fresh air as they got outside. When he told her he had a motorcycle, she clapped her hands and giggled. "I've seen those! They look like flying on the ground! Can I ride on it with you? I'm not too far away from here, maybe thirty blocks or so."
