"Ordering in is a thing of beauty. Pizza, movie, nice night in." Something that he hadn't actually done in awhile, but then again, it wasn't the kind of thing that you enjoyed doing alone. He'd mostly been staying in his apartment, but if things went right, he wouldn't be he only one there tonight. He figured he could convince her to come back with him, though honestly, he wasn't too worried about getting far on their first date. Usually, that's all he cared about, but he knew there'd be a second date, and even more after that. Not that he didn't want her, he obviously did, he just wasn't focusing on only that.
The noise she made when he scooped her up just caused him to grin even more than he had been. He thought that it would surprise her, but that's what he'd been expecting to do. Once they were inside the locker room and out of sight from the public, he saw the way that she was looking around. "Giving us a shower is better than the alternative. Can't have their fighters walking around with a funk about them." He was just teasing her, but it was something he enjoyed doing.
Then he felt her head resting against his shoulder, and suddenly the dynamic changed. Not in a bad way. He had been joking and teasing her before, but when he saw the look on her face, her eyes closed, that peaceful expression, it kind of changed things. He couldn't remember the last time that a girl had looked like that because of him. He hadn't even known her very long at all, but something just clicked with them, or at least, it did for him. It might be unexplainable but it was there.
Very slowly, he sat down on one of the benches, still holding onto her the same way that he had been before. '"It's okay." He told her quietly. He honestly had no idea why he said it, she wasn't in trouble or in danger, he had no reason to comfort her, he just was, it felt natural.
