Oh geez, Loki, with the hints and ultimatums. Dagny's grin had a slight edge to it. There was no way. No way to casually ease into 'oh hey, I'm your future kid.' Dagny wanted to run, but she was no coward and she was not going to do that to her mother. So. She needed a plan.
"...I kind of did?" She began, making a face that was stuck somewhere between intense embarrassment and wry amusement. "Not the parade float part, but I talked some friends into doing Senior Skip Day with me. We went to England and, uh." Broke into-- no. Better spin this a less felonious way. "Gave ourselves a behind-the-scenes tour at the Tower of London. Got out of there unscathed. I'm really good at distractions, though. Crazy good. Because I'm ~magic~."
That's right. There was even a finger wiggle at the end. Heh. Eh-heh. Oh man, could future-her be punished for this? Was she breaking spacetime with her confession?
But there really wasn't any other segue that would work. This was a confession, but it was the weirdest, most roundabout confession ever. If Dagny wasn't careful, she'd hit all her youthful indiscretions on her way to 'hi, parents.'
