Ever since he'd arrived, Bela hadn't heard much from Dean about Sam. That could mean one of two things - either everything was fine, or something was very wrong that Dean didn't want to talk about. Either way, she figured, they could use a night out.

She walked out into the garage, where she figured she'd find her husband. "Dean?" Bela called, expecting to find him under the car.

Dean figured it was a bit of both, really; this Sammy was way more on the level and less hinky, but still dating women that he never thought he'd be able to pull. He just didn't want to talk to Bela about it much and spend time worrying her.

He was under the Impala, doing a standard oil change, and as such, he recognized his wife by sound instead of by sight. "Hey, Sugartits, what's shakin'?"

	He obliged, rolling out on the dolly with sweat sticking his chest to his shirt and oil smudged on his cheeks. "Nope, just a shower and a Shiner, why?" He really wanted a beer, as it was hot under the car . "You got any plans for me? I like your plans." They usually involved her in a slinky dress. Mmm, slink. (Reply to this)

	"Not very. Wear trousers, not jeans, but beyond that, you can wear normal things." She had a casual sort of dress that would do fine, but couldn't resist teasing him. "Don't worry, I won't make you wear a tuxedo again, at least not until our twenty-fifth anniversary or something." (Reply to this)

	"Ack! Bloody hell!" She shoved him off, but she was laughing. "You're lucky I'm going to change anyway, you bastard." Bela returned that light kiss. "I'll hose myself down to get the oil off," she deadpanned, heading back into the house with him. (Reply to this)

	Dean couldn't help but cackle, amused when Roxy and Vesper (with the latter riding on the former's back) trotted up to them. Roxy wrinkled her nose at her master and they ran off. Dean lifted an arm, sniffed, and winced. "I'll take the upstairs shower, it's got that 'dear god you smell like funk' setting." (Reply to this)

	"Point." Bela took her own shower, quickly drying her hair and padding upstairs to slip into a simple green dress. She'd lost most of her baby weight, and the last few pounds could stay, as far as she was concerned. (Reply to this)

When she got out, Dean had already showered and gotten dressed, wearing an outfit that Dani had picked out for him - a pair of neat brown slacks, a crisp white button-down shirt, a taupe tie in the same color family as the slacks, and a sweater that was close to all three of those colors and was cut in a v-neck.

"Do I look stupid? I think your daughter is trying to make me look stupid."

When Bela came back into the bedroom and heard him, she couldn't help but laugh. She came over and wrapped her arms around him, kissing him lightly. "You actually look very put together. And not at all like yourself." She just brushed her lips over his before retreating. "Lose either the sweater or the shirt and tie; you don't need both." It all looked very elegant, but Dean wasn't elegant, and he never would be. It wasn't a bad thing.

	"I've met him briefly. Annie took me to lunch." Bela smiled. "He's a good sort - apparently a slave driver in the kitchen, but that's what Annie says is meant to happen. And he does theme days or weeks at times; apparently their food was Korean-themed for a bit, which suited Annie just fine. Now he's doing an American steakhouse sort of thing." (Reply to this)

"Oh, that sounds good, I never did finish changing out babygirl's oil." He kissed her on the cheek, wrapped his arms around her, and walked them to the door.

Soon enough they were outside Brendann's restauraunt. The maitre d' had gone to tell Brendann about guests alleging that they knew him, and soon enough a gangly, long haired, pale hippie of a guy was smiling and shaking their hands.

	Bela smiled, greeting him, asking if her daughter was working that evening. The place looked very homey and inviting, and there was a decent crowd, though it wasn't 100% full. She hoped Dean would like it. The ambiance did make a difference, even if the food turned out to be good. (Reply to this)

	Annie took a brief second to wave and smile at her parents, but Bela figured her daughter was awfully busy. She just smiled, turning back to Dean. "Never been a VIP at a three-star restaurant before." She chuckled. "I like Michelin-starred restaurants, but I wouldn't subject you to most of them." That would just be cruel, in most cases. "You could, but it'd be lost on me." He was agreeing with her, not being passive aggressive. He chuckled. "You'd probably want to take Anniegirl. She'd like that." He couldn't help his stomach from growling when he smelled the meat, however, and soon Brendann came over with beers for them and a tiny plate filled with one bite of food. It was a single shrimp with some chipotle sauce and cherry tomatoes. Brendann smiled at them and scurried off.
