Melora Hawke is plotting something ([info]smallbutdeadly) wrote in [info]utr_logs,

Who: Melora Hawke and Aedan Surana
What: So much talking to do
When: Right around the New Year
Warnings: Super awkward, discussion of 'adult topics'

Melora would probably always be cautious when it came to visiting Aedan's home. His father seemed to have given her his blessing, and Morrigan wasn't actively trying to push her away, but Melora figured it was best not to tempt fate.

She was up in a tree, close enough that she could see his cabin, when she sent him a text, letting him know she'd arrived. They had a lot to talk about. Melora had come back from a trip to another planet, and that was discussion enough without having... Things to talk about. One of them would probably panic and run away again, and Melora was half-convinced it would be her. As much as she teased her friends about them all being younger, she really wasn't very mature at all.

When she saw Aedan leaving the house, she jumped down from the tree to meet him.

Melora gave him a small smile. That seemed to have calmed her down a bit. It sounded better, anyway. "Something like that," she said with a little nod.

Melora glanced down at the grass, searching for words. "I just want it to be perfect.. Even if it probably won't. Even if it'll be awkward, or messy, or I accidentally elbow you, or you accidentally pull my hair, or I have onion breath or.. whatever. It'll be okay, because I'll be with you." She looked back up at him, her vulnerability written across her face. She was basically baring her soul to him, trusting he could handle it.

Whilst he was certainly no master of emotions, Aedan could more than handle this. Something about Melora seemed to always bring out the better side of him, even when the Blight had been threatening to corrupt him back into an Archdemon. "I think it'll be perfect just because it's with you. Even if things get a little awkward, it's... you know, something we can cope with, because we're with each other."

From what he knew, it'd probably be inevitable that things would get at least a little awkward, but surely it'd all be worth it in the end. He loved her, after all, even if he was still failing horribly at admitting it.

Melora nodded, smiling up at him. "So let's just.. wait for now, okay? Until we're more ready." She didn't know if they would ever not panic when the idea of their First Time came up, but she kind of wanted to know he loved her first. And if she was honest with herself, she still felt way too young.

That was enough serious stuff. Melora reached out to take his hand, swinging it back and forth in a playful, casual sort of way. "Want to go flying?" she asked, hoping it would take their minds off things and let them relax and enjoy themselves.

Oh, finally. Something that wasn't awkward. "Thought you'd never ask." It'd actually been a while since they'd last done this, if he thought about it. Maybe now they'd confronted the awkwardness things would get back to normal.

Well, as normal as things got with them.
