Who: Ninth Doctor, Rose #2 and Jenny
What: Foiled Kidnapping
Warnings: Action!
The Doctors and crew had split up into two groups: Donna, Jenny and Jack, then Nine, Eleven, Rose and whoever else decided to tag along. Donna was set on working alone, but Jenny had volunteered to coordinate the effort. She had a more strategic, military outlook than the others, and more than that, she could tell Donna was tired.
Jenny was awfully worried about the woman she looked up too--the woman that had named her. But all that needed to be pushed away until the crisis was over. Jenny had to focus on the mission. She'd been relieved to see that Jack carried a gun. She wished Donna would carry too, but apparently that wasn't going to happen. Besides, in her current state, Jenny wasn't sure it would be wise.
Jenny was beginning to get frustrated with the available communication lines. It was hard to organize an effective search party over the phone, and even video-chat lines didn't seem to be up to the task. For some reason, Donna's TARDIS and the Doctor's TARDIS didn't seem to be synching up very well. Finally, she decided she needed to meet up with the other team and talk to them in person. She assured Donna that she could stay onboard, and Jenny would do all of the talking. She just needed a short meeting to talk strategy, make sure they were covering ground in the most effective manner possible.

Rose was waiting at Jenny's specified meeting place, an empty outdoor market in Venice. It was an odd choice, but apparently the girl was still enjoying exploring the planet. Rose certainly wasn't going to complain about Venice, though she might have enjoyed it more if they didn't have a third wheel aboard and kidnappers on the loose.
Rose had some maps and notes about clues they'd found that she was going to share with Jenny. There hadn't been anything definite yet. A few small leads, but nothing that seemed to be going anywhere. She pursed her lips together in frustration, glancing over the notes again. She wished she had more to share with the other girl.
As Rose was looking down at her papers, a man came up to her and grabbed her arm. Rose yelped, starting to scream at him before he could place the chloroform rag over her mouth. She tried pulling her arm away, but he just yanked harder, trying to pull her toward a van.
Rose's first instinct was to fight back, and it kicked in even before she realized what was going on. This was a kidnapping! Like what had happened to the others. They were trying to kidnap her. She kicked out at him, connecting with his shin as he tried to cover her mouth with the rag again, pushing him back a little. Now she was just making him angry, and he leveled a right hook at her face.
A split second later, there was a bullet in the center of his forehead and blood trickling down his face. Jenny jogged toward a stunned Rose, carrying a handgun. "You all right?"
