Jean stood still, the enemies around her wreathed in flame.

Just looking at the girl was like looking at an uncut diamond. So much potential, but so much danger for the wrong cut to destroy it all.

And she had been cut so many times already.

"Are you hurt?" It was a pointless question. She was very aware this girl had suffered pain that even she might not be able to fathom.
