Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:abed nadir, amy pond, eleventh doctor, erato, leia organa, ninth doctor, river song, rory williams

Who: Amy, Rory and anyone who would like to attend said wedding!
What: Wedding of Amy Pond and Rory Williams
Where: Gallifrey, though we'll start on earth for those that want to load on the bus/TARDIS
When: Friday!

Amy was already at Gallifrey, making sure every last thing was ready. The Doctor and River and everyone had made sure it was all perfect, and it was mostly busy work. It would be half an hour before the guests would start arriving and the ceremony would start. She was actually nervous. River was with her and she knew the Doctor was with Rory, trying to keep him calm. That probably wouldn't go well. But he wouldn't let Rory run away.

She looked at her hair one more time, making sure it was all done right.

Meanwhile, Nine was loading up his TARDIS with apparently everyone in this crazy, mixed up world of theirs. He couldn't really blame them; how often did you get to go to a wedding on another planet? Still, it was a load of extra travellers. He'd best keep an eye on them.

Standing by the door, he eyed the queue. Rose had them all lined up and orderly. Blimey, the girl was a good organizer.

"All right then, one at a time, and no shoving!"

Even though Abed and Troy didn't really dress up all that much, it was kind of fun to get all dressed up. Making sure he looked as dapper as he could, he and Troy headed to the TARDIS. The. TARDIS. From Inspector Spacetime or whatever it was called. He was so excited, he could hardly contain himself. Still, once inside, he couldn't stop looking at everything. Though he kept his word that he wasn't going to touch a thing.

Erato sat in a corner of the Tardis scowling at her notebook. It was maddening. She could grant inspiration to mortals, but not to herself; she was as subject to writer's block as the most frustrated adolescent poet attempting to capture their fleeting desires.

But she had promised the happy couple a poem and was determined to deliver. The last two lines of the sonnet were there, pulsing in her brain, but how to get to them? It was proving impossible. Perhaps she should abandon this form and attempt another of those limerick things instead. Or a villanelle? Those two lines might work as a villanelle..."Lord Apollo have mercy," she muttered in ancient Greek as she scribbled and erased and scribbled some more.

Leia examined the TARDIS' controls with open curiosity, though she knew well enough not to touch anything. She was seriously impressed by the bigger-on-the-inside aspect of this...well, she supposed it was a spaceship, though it certainly wasn't like any one she'd ever seen...but she couldn't imagine how it could travel anywhere, much less to another planet. "Don't poke at things, Han," she said absently. "It's not your ship."

Gojyo was amused at how many people were going to this thing. It was going to be a real party like the good old days. Lorelai was even with him. It made him a little nostalgic, but in a good way. It was hard to be anything but happy with all the people around and the new ship.

He took Lorelai's hand as they went in, orderly as Rose and the Doctor ordered. "This place has some style. Better than a tiny little Jeep." He grinned at Lorelai wanting to see her reaction to the place as well.

Lorelai had never been on any fancy spaceship or anything like that. Still, she could fake it like the best of them, rather than staring around slack-jawed. Dressed in the pretty little pink number she'd picked out, she definitely looked more classy and sophisticated than the tourist she felt like.

She grinned over at Gojyo when he took her hand. "Yeah, well, you know, we were going to decorate the Dragonfly like this, but it seemed a little over-the-top." She honestly hadn't realized they were going to a different planet when she accepted the open invite. She was just excited about the wedding. This would be pretty cool, though.

Gojyo grinned. "I don't know if this theme would have gone well for the inn. I mean, I guess there are always those specialty inns. Like you're sleeping on the bridge of the Enterprise." He loosened his charcoal tie a little, never comfortable in the things. He never dressed up, but he had his dark grey suite, and a nice sapphire blue shirt. This was, of course, all Kimber's idea. When he needed to know how to dress he always asked Kimber.

"Did I mention how sexy and amazing you look?" It was, probably, the sixth or seventh time he'd said it, but he felt it really should be said.

Lorelai laughed. Gojyo was always a playful flirt, but she considered him to be generally harmless. He was the sort to flirt with old, married women just to make them feel pretty. "You look pretty amazing yourself. I love that color on you."

Gojyo grinned at the complement, bowing playfully, "Thank you very much, my lady. All credit must go to Kimber, though. You know if I dressed myself I would be in jeans and a T-shirt."

About that time the Doctor told them all to hang on, and Gojyo had barley enough time to steady himself before they were moving. He took hold of Lorelai by the waist to stop her from falling. "Bumpy ride."

Lorelai grinned. "Well, Kimber knows her stuff." She didn't think Gojyo would be completely without hope if he tried it on his own, but the popstar's snazzy touch was definitely welcome.

"Ooh!" Lorelai stumbled a little into Gojyo's arms. She smiled, looking a little sheepish. "Guess they don't have enough seatbelts."

"I guess not." They weren't the only ones tumbling around, but it wasn't long before it stopped. "I think we're there." As if to prove his point Rose was opening the door and helping everyone file out safely.

With a grin Gojyo offered an arm to Lorelai after they were steady on their feet. "Shall we?"

"It's like going through a portkey while inside a tin can." Probably less dangerous, though. Well, as long as they didn't crash into any asteroids, or anything. She took a moment to get centered before taking Gojyo's arm and disembarking with him.

The planet was beautiful: two suns with an orange sky and silver-leafed trees. They followed the other guests to the ceremony. Ushers were seating everyone. "This place is amazing."

"It really is," Lorelai echoed his sentiment, having a hard time not staring, now. "I really didn't expect any of this," she admitted quietly to him as they were seated. "I just like weddings. But this.. Wow."

Gojyo looked over at Lorelai as she stared around her, glad to see he wasn't the only one gaping at planet. "I can see why they're doing the wedding here. Let's get a seat, before we have to sit all the way in the back." They didn't have to sit too far back, most of the guests were gaping just as much as they were. And the wedding was outside so they could continue to gape from their seats.

"Yeah, definitely." Lorelai followed along, taking a seat next to Gojyo. "So thanks for coming, by the way." Most guys weren't big fans of weddings, especially of people they didn't even know. Lorelai probably could have dragged Rory along, but the groom was named Rory and that could get confusing.

Gojyo shrugged, "No problem. I like parties, and you are always a fun person to go to a party with." He grinned at her. He liked spending time with Lorelai. She was a fun person to be around.

Lorelai smiled. He really was too sweet. "I'll try to make sure you can wear jeans at the next party," she said. She liked hanging out with Gojyo, even if it was just movie night or whatever.

Gojyo shrugged, still grinning. "We should do another movie night. Try and get everyone to come. I miss those old movie nights when we'd get so many people to show up."

"Yeah, those were awesome times. The Dragonfly needs a little renovation, but I'd love to get those going again." The best part about having an inn was having a place where all of her friends could congregate.

"That would be amazing." The ceremony was starting. It was a very strange mix of traditional and very not traditional. The Doctor doing the ceremony ranted on and on about things that made no sense what-so-ever. Gojyo wasn't sure if he was suppose to sit solemnly, cry or laugh, and most guests were trying to do all three at once. Over all it was an amazing ceremony, different from anything that had ever happened before or sense.

Tony had a glass in one hand, two cigars in his pocket (one for the groom and one for the Doctor flying him to this shindig), and a grin on his face. He had to admit, he was getting used to this place.

He had to wonder what Pepper would think if she saw this whole deal. The flying Phone Box (but HOW is it bigger on the inside?!), the various angels and demons wandering around...

She'd probably break out into hives.

Every day the ache was a little less, but he wondered if it would ever really go away. It wasn't honestly the love part; she was so much a part of his life for so long, it felt like a limb was missing.

Whatever. Tony was determined to have the best time he could, under the particularly ridiculous circumstances. He took a swig of scotch and leaned against the railing behind him. It'd be a hell of a trip.
