Entry tags:eleventh doctor, ninth doctor

Who: Nine and Eleven. (Get it? Who? OH THE PUNNY.)
When: This evening.
Where: Space. Specifically, Gallifrey.
Warnings: Abuse of space travel, bowties and British slang.

Nine was doing a valiant job of pretending that he wasn't annoyed that they had taken Eleven's TARDIS rather than his own. After all, he was a grown man, and he certainly had to acknowledge that the newer TARDIS was a much smarter idea. Either way, his primary emotion was anxiety at the moment, and jealousy over the said new and improved TARDIS was taking a back seat.

He hadn't asked Rose if she wanted to go; this was something he (and he) had to do alone. His gut instinct told him that Gallifrey was gone for good, and that they'd likely find only dead space. But oh, how he ached to find it whole. To know that maybe somewhere, somehow it still survived would make everything just a little brighter.

"All right then?" They were just about ready to leave.

Hearing the coordinates seemed to cause the knot of tension under his heart get even tighter, and for a moment he just managed a nod. Walking over towards one of the side screens, he rested both palms on the raid and hung his head.

How could they forgive him? Stupid question really; if Gallifrey was here, they had no idea who he was or what he did. It still didn't ease the fear though.

"Will we land?" They hadn't really thought that part out yet, which wasn't surprising. He knew he wouldn't be able to walk away, but at the same time how could he face them?
