Princess Leia Organa ([info]nonerfherders) wrote in [info]utr_logs,
She nodded slowly. Han was entirely right in his surmise. Leia would have been able to manage; she had a lifetime of training that enabled her to act despite personal loss, or else the destruction of Alderaan would have finished her. Even so, Luke had helped her beyond measure over the past months, providing support, affection, and his own gentle wisdom in equal measure. Leia's brother was as important to her as Han was. To have regained one at the cost of the other was hard, even without all the other factors in play.

There was the possibility Luke could be snared by this vortex too, and she'd hope for that, but there was nothing she could do to make it happen. She needed to keep her attention to the things she could affect. Han was right. They did at least have time to concentrate on other things now, and those things deserved her attention. Even the ones she'd never expected to be faced with.

First things first. They hadn't addressed the most immediate question. "Meanwhile, what do we do with this situation?" Leia asked, holding up their joined hands and looking at them pointedly. "Take that a day at a time, too? What do you want to happen?"

They hadn't had any time to talk about or act on their relationship, such as it was. Did they have one? Oh, she loved him, and she had no doubt that he loved her. But kisses (however intoxicating) and declarations of love (however heartfelt) didn't a relationship make, exactly. What did it mean for their day-to-day lives? How did it change things? It would be different, being in love with Han on an everyday level as opposed to in the middle of warfare and adrenaline. Though Han provided a fair amount of adrenaline in his own right, there was no denying it.
