Alistair waved a hand. "Not your fault." He sipped his mocha, examined what he'd just said, frowned, and tried again. "Really, it's not. As far as you and I were concerned, we were spending some time together, as friends, getting food and teaching me some weapon skills I'm going to need. I honestly didn't think there was more to it at the time, no matter what everyone says." |He took another sip. "Actually, if you and I say there wasn't more to it, then there wasn't, no matter what everyone says. I think." A grin flashes across his face, which makes him look more like himself. "This stuff isn't exactly my strong point, as you'd probably noticed."
