Alim chose to take the smirking as a sort-of good sign, before picking up his staff and rising to his feet. "Of course. Two mages are harder to take down than one... just because the beasts aren't making themselves known doesn't mean they aren't here."

As it was, being savaged by some creature wasn't high on his list of priorities. He'd gotten enough of that from Darkspawn before he ended up here.
