WHO: Captain Isabela and Captain Jack
WHAT: Getting the lay of the land
WHERE: Somewhere in the Florida Keys
WARNINGS: Two pirate captains with filthy minds. Do the math.

Isabela had been hopping ferries and just visiting every island she could. She'd found her flat - a tiny hole in a town called Nassau - but she'd also found things called credit cards. She'd gone to all different places, and now she was in a town called Key West, sitting at a bar. The drinks were good.

"Ah, more's the pity, I'll be sure and warn Bill." He grinned, arm looping around her waist again, "Ready to go inside, luv? Or want to stay out and enjoy the sea air a bit longer?"

Isabela raised an eyebrow, amused. "Let's put it this way. I'll shag married men if their spouses won't stab me in the heart." She got up. "I'd take a bed in a room with the windows open. If you don't mind?"

Another warm laugh, "We both know who we come home to, that's what's important." He smiled then, leading her inside, "And I think we can manage that. We'll find you one on the west side, won't do to have the sun wake you up first thing, not with the headache you're liable to have."

"Spoken like a man with experience." Isabela stopped briefly. "You are handsome, though; I'm not drunk enough to blow that out of proportion." She winked. Hopefully they understood each other, and she was grateful he'd taken her out of the bar.

"I've a bit, aye." He said with a nod, brushing a kiss against her temple, "And I've enough experience to know when not to press my luck. Let's find you somewhere nice to sleep, aye?"

Isabela smiled. That was fair enough. "Thank you." She followed him up through a house she was largely too tired to notice, aside from the wood and high ceilings, up into a small spare bedroom. "Beautiful," she murmured. It looked like a captain's cabin, if slightly smaller and lighter.

"Bedding's fresh." He said as he went about opening the windows, "And there's spare blankets in the cabinet, if you've need of them."

The wind through the open window felt wonderful, and she said as much. "I'll be just fine." She sat on the edge of the bed, removing her shoes, but too tired suddenly to bother with the rest of her clothes. Isabela smiled and offered an even-handed salute, the kind equals give to equals. "A pleasure, Captain."

He chuckled at that, leaning in to kiss the top of her head, "Get some rest, Captain, there'll be food whenever you're up and about."

"Too kind." Isabela was already face-planted in the pillow, eyes closed. The day hadn't been terrible, really.
