Luc kissed her forehead quickly, "Just a second, then," and eased away from her, slowing the time around himself to the point where the boys were barely moving, one crouched and almost touching the bag. He walked quickly that direction, and picked up the bag, rumpling the would-be thief's hair, before sauntering back and letting time go back to normal.
To anyone else, three seconds had gone by, and it was as if a blur of speed had come and gone, and he'd barely left her side. He smiled to her, holding up the small purse. "Don't forget this, they have a lot of important things in them, sometimes." That said, he opened it as he stood close to her, letting her look with him. "Phone, hairbrush, lipstick," he murmured as he pushed around the things, and finally found the wallet with her ID in it, handing it to her.
