The windows of the apartment Morrigan stayed in blew outward all at once in a massive explosion of shattered glass. There was no fire.. Not yet, anyway. Inside, Morrigan paced angrily. She was alone; Brother was working at the library. Thrown objects were strewn across the floor, and some of the furniture was upended. She was trying to find a plan, but it was hard to think through all of the fury. She had managed to do this before. But there had been a hero before. More than the useless elf-slut that was Zevran. That was all she was left with? She couldn't ask Brother. He would get himself killed, and she would rather that not happen.

In a fit of rage, she shot fire out the window, engulfing a car across the street in flames.

She rolled her eyes again. "I wasn't telling a bedtime story, I was only expressing my remorse for having saved you." Though in this place, he may have shown back up even if she had let him die. Still, at least she would have had the satisfaction.

"What's there to do?" There was nothing, as far as she could see. "Try to stay hidden and hope she finds someone new to keep her occupied?" She was not confident of Flemeth's tracking abilities, especially in this new place. She didn't know if Flemeth had ever had to chase down one of her daughters in the past. It seemed the creature relied on deception to keep her victims complacent. Perhaps it was possible Morrigan could avoid her.

"Friendly? Zevran.. 'Time period' makes no difference. Flemeth is older than dirt, and that entire time she has been taking girls under the pretense of mothering them and then stealing their bodies. Do you really think a few months would make a difference?"

Why was he still there? What good did he think this was going to do? She would almost prefer the irreverent, constant flirting. That was easier to ignore, at least.

	Morrigan recoiled slightly at the touch, her shoulders stiffening. She turned her head away from him, pushing him a bit, half-heartedly. "Don't.." she murmured. This wasn't what they did. 	Zev blinked, raising an eyebrow as they kissed. Any other man would have pushed her away - she was only kissing him to get rid of him, or distract herself - but Zevran had been raised as an assassin. He took his pleasures when they came, and Morrigan had always been lovely to look at. He kissed her a tiny bit harder, wondering when she'd light him on fire. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Morrigan would never admit it, but she was scared. And even though he refused to do what she asked, Zevran was trying to be there for her, for some reason. It would be a stretch to say that she appreciated his meager attempts at comfort, but there was so much going on. Between Flemeth's return and Morrigan's thinking on the complicated relationship with the last Zevran--none of which this one remembered.. All of it had apparently stripped Morrigan of her senses.

Morrigan continued the kiss, pressing closer to him and slinking her arms around his shoulders and neck.

	"Shut up," she told him, pulling him back into the kiss. This was no time for him to be cute, and she certainly had no desire to discuss what was happening. Neither one of them needed instructions.
