Remus stood at the doorway to the kitchen, watching Emily walk around. "You really don't have to do this. I can help, or we could have just ordered something." It was about the 421375 time he had said this. He felt guilty watching her cook while he just stood there doing nothing.

Remus liked kissing Emily, though it always made him just a little flustered, like he was doing something he shouldn't. That was mostly because of her very scary father. He kissed back, going to the fridge doing as he was directed. After putting the bread in the oven he came up behind her while she was stirring the spaghetti and hugged her close, kissing her cheek.

	"I really like you," he responded, smiling a big shyly. He tried to help her clear the table but was told to sit down. He went into the living room and sat on the sofa, waiting for her to get back. There was some scrambling noises from the door while Padfoot tried to remember how to use his keys. After a few moments, a mumbled "Fuckit. Alohomora" could be heard, if one happened to be paying attention and didn't have a tongue in one's ear.

Sirius Black staggered in, his gait unsteady and his breath smelling of rum. He was carrying a bouquet of flowers that looked like they'd seen better days. Some of the petals had fallen--a few were on his coat. It looked like he'd been carrying them around for a while now.

"The lovebirds are home!" he slurred, stumbling toward the couch.

Sirius seemed jovial, for being drunk off his ass. Earlier that night he had told Moony he wouldn't be home that night, so he and Emily could have the apartment to themselves. Apparently, plans had changed. He ignored Moony's questions and thrust the flowers into Emily's lap. "Happy Valentine's Day, Steve."

Then he grabbed Moony by the face, dipped him back, and gave him a firm kiss on the mouth.

Sirius stumbled backward toward the back of the couch when Moony pushed him, laughing at his own dizziness. "Hey!" he yelped when Emily hit him. "Look, s'only fair after Christmas," he told her, referring to the mistletoe incident. "F'I kiss just one of you, the other'll get jealous." He reached out to pat Emily on the head, but his hand-eye coordination was way off and he ended up closer to her shoulder and face area.

Moony just gaped at Padfoot, who now had his hand on his girlfriend's breast. He took a deep breath, trying to calm down and deal with the situation. It almost worked.

He stood up and grabbed Padfoot by the shoulders, walking him away from Emily. He wanted to punch him, but Padfoot was very drunk and probably didn't even know what he was doing. He took another deep breath. "You need to leave now, Pads, or I am going to hurt you." He was mostly calm, really.

Right before the full moon was probably not a good time to get Remus upset. He was a bit irritable around that time of the month.

Padfoot let Moony lead him away, but twisted around to look back at Emily. "Steve, I want you to know, I really like you. You're cute, and funny, and perfect for Moony," he said, trying to ruffle Moony's hair but ended up dragging his fingers across his mate's face. "Like you a lot. Never, ever break up." He turned back to Moony and pointed a finger at his nose. "You don't do something stupid."

At the door now, he gave Moony a hug. "I love you, man," he said before going in for another kiss.

Emily couldn't help but smile, folding her arms. Sirius was stupid, and a twat, but his heart was in the right place, and he loved Remus.

Maybe too much, but that was fine.

"I really like you too, Siretta. C'mon, let's get you sobered up." She looked at Remus and smiled before moving to put one arm around Sirius' waist. "You have a spare room, right? Or we could put him in the bathroom, he'll probably need to hurl anyway."

She'd noticed the flowers, but not the card. Strange he hadn't given them to anyone yet.

	Padfoot raised his head when he heard Moony talking to him, the movement much like a dog's ear's perking up. He shifted forward to rest his chin on the top of Emily's head. "Hm?" 	Remus didn't know if he should bring up the name on the card. He didn't want to in front of Emily for sure, and he didn't think he'd get any straight answers while Sirius was drunk. "Someone's been eating his Wheaties," Sirius said, pinching Moony's cheek. "You're in for an exciting night," he called to Emily, which only resulted in Remus dragging him into the room faster so he couldn't finish. "He's like an animal this time of the month. All grrr." Sirius kept yelling after Moony slammed the door shut, "I bet the sex is fantastic!"

He flopped back on the bed. "Well Minerva, obviously."

	Moony ignored the comments, very diplomatically. "And what happened?" Sirius always joked about being in love with their professor, but he thought it was just a joke. "I'm sure it will be when we have it, dork." She'd gotten off of the couch, moving to lean in the doorway. But when she saw how upset he was, she smiled at Remus before moving to sit by Sirius. She wasn't sitting close enough for it to be romantic, and the hair ruffle she gave him was obviously platonic. She loved Remus, but she felt like Sirius' older sister. Which was odd, as she was sure he was older than her.

"Did it take her away?"

	Sirius propped his head up when he saw that Emily followed them in. "Just couldn't stay away from me, could you Steve? That is adorable." He shifted over, using Emily's lap as a pillow.
