And smile he did. Toby scoffed out a laugh before tilting his chin up to kiss Chris gently, briefly, hands settling at the man's waist. "I'm sure she'll grow to love you as much as I do, baby," And he sounded sincere, too- until his smile turned into a smirk, "Well, maybe not as much, but... certain things I'd like to keep to myself," His hand drifted around to grope Chris lightly- once again, hiding his apprehension in a joke.
There was a little coughing noise at the doorway, before Holly skittered inside, making her way to the fridge to grab a juice box, Pongo dutifully following behind her. She parked herself in a chair at the table, watching the pair curiously. Toby turned to face her, but didn't quite move away from Chris, just out of his personal space; if he wanted her to get used to the idea, it was probably a good idea to not appear ashamed, right off the bat.
"Movie over?" She nodded, getting a matching one from her father. "You know what you want for dinner?" She thought about that for a long minute, before smiling- "Sushi!" Toby couldn't help but grin; he hadn't had sushi in years.
"That alright with you?" He directed at Chris, who actually got a little hopeful grin out of Holly- hey, she was seven; she saw nothing wrong with using someone's soft spot for a smile, to get her way. (Sound like someone familiar?)
