Remus was nervous. He normally didn't have much of a problem with girls, but he normally wasn't going on dates with girls. He also didn't normally have a problem with parents. Parents were usually easier than people his age. But he had never met the parents of a girl he was dating. From what he's learned from Sirius and James, parents don't like boys that date their daughters.
He knew he was over thinking it, but he really couldn't help it. He tried to look nice and ended up looking a bit more like a forty-something librarian. And he knew it looked like a forty-something librarian, but he couldn't help it. He really didn't know how he was expected to dress for this kind of thing, and was really wondering right now how Sirius had gotten him into this mess, and then remembered that he had said yes to this.
Sirius had tried to help him, but there was no help for him. Everything Sirius had suggested sounded like a horrible idea at the time and now he was regretting not following his suggestions. He looked like a forty-something librarian.
