Who: Cassidy Turner, Sadako Yamamura, Soren Skwigelf, Henn Stillman, Teja Wartooth
What: Uh, you know. Making room. Resurrections? Your usual BS for crazy people.
Where: Mordhaus, Mordland
When: One Week from Sunday
Warnings: Death, sorta? Swearing possibly?

Cass was more amused that he was so anxious for his own birth than he figured he had any right to be. He'd never truly enjoyed the idea of resurrection, but considering it was the only other viable solution to the problem he had other than being a shell of his former self for the rest of his life, he truly got okay with it. He wouldn't even miss a single second of life.

He was currently in Mordhaus, sitting between Henn and Soren as they waited for the news of his rebirth. More or less, all he was doing was watching TV, waiting for the word, and being close to his spouses before he had to die. Dying would be the easy part, he figured. He was just glad that this body of his wouldn't remember the shocking and gross thing that the baby him would do to gain nourishment. He squeezed Henn's hand with one of his, and then butted Soren's shoulder with his forehead. "You're both just as nuts as I am."

Sadako walked by, looking fully pregnant. It had only been a week since Cassidy's request, but she was already awaiting her next contraction. She winced a little, looking at Cassidy and smiling. She didn't want to scare him. After a moment, she looked down at her stomach before moving to a room adjacent to the one they were in.

It was time.

She settled herself down on the floor, oddly used to the process already. She'd given birth many times before, and with her ability to ease it along and make it as painless as possible, it wasn't as large of an issue as people seemed to think it was. After fifteen minutes or so and a bit of pushing, she felt the world go dark.

Soren looked at Cass and shook his head. "We love you. Maybe that makes us nuts, but we're going to be here." He ran his fingers through his hair, sighing. "I'm really glad I'm not in that room right now." He knew what was happening, and didn't want to see it or hear it. Watching cartoons was much better.

Henn just rolled her eyes, settling herself against Cass' side, "We wouldn't be here if we weren't, just a little." She shrugged, "And by 'here' I mean the world in general, and actually Mordhaus more specifically." She smiled then, leaning up to kiss his cheek, "I also agree with everything Soren just said." She gave the blond a thumbs-up behind Cass' back, "Way to go, word-guy."

Teja was already standing in front of the door to the room into which Sadako retired, and had set a radio out on the table in front of the three so they would hear when it was time. He wasn't exactly pleased with the day's chore, but he wanted to make sure his nephew was brought back, because of two reasons. One, he really didn't hate the guy half as much as either of them pretended, and two, if this didn't go the way it should, it would be his ass on the line, and he knew it.

Cass laughed and kissed Soren's jaw, after acknowledging Sadako with a small nod of his head. "At least this will work. She said stillbirths don't happen with her, and I actually believe her when she says that. I just... you know. I'm overly cautious when it comes to things involving death, now. Don't know when that happened, but it was probably around the same time I decided to marry the two of you." He squeezed Henn around the shoulders and chuckled. "Just remember, don't go into that room until Teja says it's okay to come in. Even I wouldn't look in there."

Soren shuddered. He wouldn't say he was scared of blood, he just didn't want to see a newly born Cass eating Sadako. That was a little bit too much for him. Instead, he just curled closer to Cass, wrapping his arms around him. The position let him hold one of Henn's hands too, and he snuggled closer. "Any plans on what you want to do when you get enbiggened again?"

"Go to Disneyland, duh." was Henn's response, though it was a little muffled against her husband's shoulder, fingers lacing easily with Soren's. Her nose wrinkled at the warning, "Definitely not going in there though." For the daughter of an Assassin she was awfully squeamish sometimes.

"No, Disneyland's run by the Norse goddess of the underworld. I'm not going to risk impalement on the teacup ride just after being big again. I already planned, you know. A trip. For the three of us. I've got the tickets and hotel reservations and everything, it's all laid out, but I couldn't see us going anywhere with me the way I am." He kissed Henn's cheek and chuckled. "As soon as I'm big enough, I'm getting all my damn tattoos back."

Soren's brain finally put it all together. "So that's what you were being cryptic about!" He smiled against Cass' shoulder, kissing gently. "Sounds perfect. That way you'll be back to looking like you when Henhenn and I tie the knot next month." Keeping the conversation light wasn't helping too much, but it was the only thing helping at all.

"I already told dad he'll be doing my wings, now that I've got them the way I want them to look, said you might need some repair work." She shrugged, "Wasn't sure if you'd told him anything or not and I don't like to freak him out without reason." She smiled, giving Soren's hand a squeeze, "Figure we'll have cake and booze at the Guildhall once it's finished, mum said she'd do the ceremony."

Teja peeked into the room and rubbed his forehead, sighing when he realized that Sadako was already dead and the baby was already eating. There was sound on the radio before the group and Teja's voice came over it, "Hey, you're officially extraneous garbage, go throw yourself in the zombie pit now." The tone was fond, oddly enough.

Cass chuckled and nudged Soren. "Pick up the little me when he's old enough to stare at you like your hair's on fire, would you?" He kissed Henn and murmured, "Know what this means, Henn? I'll be a virgin the next time you see me. Hot."

Soren nosewrinkled and stood up, smiling at Cass. He leaned down to kiss him before moving back. The spell was easy enough, though he doubted when his mother had taught it to him, this had been her intention. His skin pulsed a sickly purple-black for a moment, and he looked down at Cass. "Close your eyes, baby. You'll have ten seconds when I'm done." He waited for Henn to say her goodbyes as well.

Henn snorted at that, shaking her head and giving him a quick noogie and a firmer hug, pressing a kiss to the corner of his mouth, "Good for me then, I get to corrupt you." She sniffled, wiping an invisible tear, "Mum would be so proud."

Her smile was more honest then, and the kiss better placed, "Go on. We'll see you in a bit."

Cass eyerolled, "Oh, like this is so big, oo, woo, death, I'm not sc-" and at that, he simply crumpled to the floor.

Teja came in and collected the body, smiling at them, which he knew was an unpleasant experience all on its own. "It'll be about ten hours or something. Depends on how fast he eats. Go ahead and watch a movie or something, I'll be... taking care of this."

The word 'eats' had never been creepier to Soren, and he chose to put it out of context. Normally he'd have dipped into Teja's collection of awesomely terrible horror movies, but he wasn't quite feeling up to zombies right then. Instead, he clicked around until he hit National Geographic, smiling at a mother jaguar licking baby cubs. That would work.

He nuzzled closer to Henn, wiping his eyes on her shirt. He felt like more than a little bit of a baby.

Henn, ever-prepared, pulled a packet of tissues out of her pocket and handed it over, sliding an arm around Soren's waist and settling more comfortably into the couch, changing the channel to something else a half hour later, once the cubs were grown and learning how to hunt. Cartoons were usually a good bet for both of them, really, because they were both easily amused and sometimes had short attention spans.

Teja joined them soon after and dropped himself into a chair. "Don't look so sad, he's fine." Knowing that wasn't the pinnacle of tact, he shook his head. "It's like a breath of relief after a catastrophe. In light of the past couple years, he has been broken down, torn down to his base, his foundation, and that foundation is the two of you. If you want to turn over a new leaf, a less dramatic one? Now would be the time. Focus on the future. On what the three of you will be doing together."

He was awful at pep talks. He knew it, but at least he tried.

He was glad for the change to cartoons, and was still dabbing at his eyes when Teja came into the room. And as far as pep talks went, that actually made a lot of sense to Soren. He sniffled a little. "I know, I just hated seeing it. I know he wasn't technically... since he's in the other room, but yeah." He smiled at Henn, then back at Teja.

He was actually happy for Cass. He'd known how his lack of mobility had affected him, how much he'd hated and not felt like himself. He'd seen him backslide, and it had killed him every time he went to hold his hand and felt the wool of a glove. This was better. "Thanks, Teja. You always know what to say." Soren was probably the only person in history to have said this and meant it.

Henn knew exactly what they were going to be doing together in both the near future, and the somewhat more distant future, and she smiled, chin hooking over Soren's shoulder to nod in agreement with the statement, "He's right." She shrugged, "You're both right. So right now it's like..." She shook her head, smiling crookedly, "Like I got home early and we're waiting for him to come back from class."

"Exactly that. This is your new life. Right now. You don't even have to be here right now, I can take care of him until he's old enough to deal with shit, himself. He brought a couple days' worth of clothes for when he grows up, I'll send him back in better condition than you saw him last. He might not be my favorite person in our family," Teja pointed out, "But I wouldn't let anything hurt him. He's important to the two of you."

He raised a brow then, and shrugged. "Hell, none of us have to be here right now. So let's go do something. I've got a Klokateer monitoring the room, so if anything foul happens beyond the nature of the resurrection itself, I'll know. Let's go out. Get some air."

Soren blinked at Teja. He really was good to his family, and he moved to hug his friend, wrapping his arms tightly around him. It was brief, but heartfelt, and he put his hands in his pockets. "Don't know, wouldn't feel totally right if we left, but I know he won't want us to see him until he looks like at least a teenager."

He ran his fingers through his hair and looked at Henn. "Want to try going home? Check in on the animals, make sure his room is clean? Tej, you should come too."

"It is." She replied, but unfolded to her feet, "Did that this morning, animals could use some attention though." She shrugged, "And mum brought by a bag of those creepy googly-eyed figurines my pops hates too, if you want to watch me blow some stuff up." It had been almost a year, Henn realized then, since she'd gotten the somewhat-familial power, and she had enough control over it now that it didn't go off whenever she was startled.

Teja's brow arched at that, "I should, yes. Let me go grab my jacket, check in on Cass to see where he is. I can calculate how long it'll be from there, and we'll be set." That said, he went off to do just those things, and returned ten minutes later in his coat, with his hair tied back, and nodded. "It'll be eight more hours, roughly."

That said, he led the way to the portkey and ported himself to right in front of their house. The grass needed a trim, he saw, and the roof needed minor repair, but he figured that was something that Cass would have done if he was able for the past few months. "I'll tell you what," Teja said, "You guys take care of the pets. I've got... something I need to do out here."

Eight hours sounded good, and he nodded, portkeying to their home behind Teja, with Henn. He smiled at Teja's words, not sure what he meant, but touched he'd come with them at all. He waited until Henn started inside to move to kiss Teja on the cheek. "Thanks, Tej. For being here."

He jogged inside, giggling when Arthur and Dog wiggled excitedly to see him. He grabbed their leashes, ready to take them out back for a walk.

Henn nodded, "Okay, I'll let you know before the fireworks start." She checked her watch once she was inside, nodding and going to feed the fish before checking on the stiltmice, dropping Gus down her shirt, like she usually did, mostly because he just sat there and usually nodded off, like it was the best thing in the world, and she certainly wasn't going to argue.

That done she headed to the kitchen to make snacks, laughing softly at the fact that Kitten was curled up on the counter with the packet of dog treats, apparently waiting for Soren to go past.

When the other two went inside, Teja went around back to the garden shed and within ten minutes, he was mowing the lawn. He'd seen it done at Mordhaus plenty of times where he knew how to do it without grievous injury, and the point was to make the place feel more homey and not burdened down. He knew that the worst part about being dead was his work wasn't done for him, and he figured this would put to ease some little part of Cass' mind. He made sure to keep his work in straight lines.

After the front yard was done, he even started on the back lawn as well. He was considering going up to the roof to fix it, but he figured that could wait until he got the permission of the other two.

Once Soren got back inside, he grinned at Kitten. "Hey, you," he beamed, picking him up and putting him on his head so he could nestle in his hair. He fed each dog one treat apiece before calling Mamba to give her a kittytreat. Sticking his head out the back door, he grinned at what Teja was doing. "Tej, you want a beer?" He wrapped his arm around Henn, feeling pretty good about things, situation considered.

Mamba was given a cuddle, and he gave Gus a rather apathetic lick in return, which made Henn laugh, shaking her head, "Here, I'll make you some confettis." she sorted through the mail, pulling out a sweepstakes entry form, cracking her knuckles before charging it, just a little, and slinging it off to bounce off the edge of the table, where it promptly exploded with a soft fwump. Mamba, for his part, was thrilled, bounding over to play in the paper shreds.

Henn smiled at the hug, leaning back against Soren's side, "We're gonna be okay."

Teja shook his head at the question, calling above the sound of the mower, "I'll be good for now, thanks. Just keep working on whatever it is you people do in suburban London."

Coming in about an hour later, however? He was really looking forward to that beer. His coat was abandoned on the front porch and his shirt was slightly damp from sweat, but he was all the more pleased with his work, and it showed. "Where's that beer, now?" He asked with a half-smile.

Nuzzling into Henn, Soren nodded. "All three of us. Cass actually seemed happier this week than he has in a long time, so I'm not worried. I just needed to get over the shock of actually doing it." He meant killing his husband. And the shock was ebbing, enough that he smiled when he saw Teja enter.

"Of course," Soren grinned, moving to rummage in the fridge. He handed Teja a cold beer, popping the top with his wedding ring. "He'll appreciate it."

Henn nodded, she knew what he meant, and she had a cure for it. It was the same cure she used for everything, lifting Gus out of her cleavage with a baby carrot, she set him on the counter before faceplanting Soren in her chest, just for a minute, rolling her eyes over his head at Teja and mouthing 'give it a minute', before letting the blond up again, "Better?" And then to the redhead: "You want a snack or a sammich or something? Or just the beer?"

Teja chuckled at the antics of the two and shook his head before taking a swig of his bottle. Crazy. They were all genuinely crazy. He figured they had to be to be a part of this family, though, so it was a good sort of thing. He tilted his head to the side, considering, "Well, I could eat something, but that's not news." He was pretty active, and he had a very active diet to go with it.

Soren's muffled protests died down after about two seconds before he started to make contented motorboat sounds. When he stood, he was grinning, and he turned to Teja. "I could make you a sandwich! I know, I've been studying really hard." He was pretty proud of his cold cut stacking skills.

Henn nodded once, "Sammiches it is, you get the bread and the plates, I'll get the rest, we'll meet in the middle and then the magic happens!"

Between the two of them it really didn't take long at all to make two and a half sandwiches. Henn perched herself on the counter to nibble at hers, feet swinging.

Teja sat down at the counter, as well, and watched them make the sandwiches, silent but obviously amused. "You two promise to keep that guy on a leash now that he's better? I don't want to play go between for your personal drama anymore, it's bullshit. Thank you for the sandwich."

That being said, he started in on it like a man starved. Sandwiches were fantastic things at that point, and Teja was a happy person just to be fed.

Henn tossed a mock salute, pointing to the back door, "Find a good seat, I'll be on the roof." That said she scampered off to find the tote bag of gewgaws that her mother had given her the last time she'd been at the Guildhall. It was as easy as anything to swing herself out the bedroom window and up onto the roof, sparing an idle thought that she wouldn't be able to once she was a few months along.

She situated herself easily enough on the crest of the roof, rolling her shoulders and settling her mind, once she'd figured out that the power was almost-but-not-quite tied into her emotions the whole process had become very zen for her. She pulled a few of the figures out, lining them up within easy reach, charging one and slinging it skyward, tossing another one up right after it to explode them both at the apex of the throw.
