The other thing Annie had learnt at her father's knee was when to bow out. She took a huge pot off the other four at the table - Keller included, what with that hand twitch - but instead of getting up from her chair right then, she played a few more hands. It wouldn't do to walk away on top - even if no one suspected her of card counting, it tended to piss people off.
After she'd busted out on a smallish pot, she rose from table, getting a voucher for the couple grand she'd managed to win.
