Who Jack and Angel (aka The Other Men)
What Having tea
Where The Jack/Jules residence
When Today. At tea time.
Warnings T for Tea

Jack had spent the day before with Melissa and he was certainly feeling it. Of course, he didn't seem much out of sorts, just a bit tired, but he had had a spilting headache that morning that was sated by aspirin and some coddling with Jules before the man was off to his classes. Jack then puttered about for the day, answering calls for his rocker persona in Betty Boop pajamas, watching 'Arsenic and Old Lace' and generally being lazy. He got himself a shower before he figured Angel would pop by, and was dressed (mostly-he had on jeans and a long sleeved maroon shirt, but he couldn't be arsed to do the underwear or the sock thing) and sitting on the couch, 'A Touch of Mink' now on the television as he waited for the man to show. He really enjoyed Angel, and was glad he could be a friend to the man when he arrived. He hoped Greg only had good news for him.

Thinking of Greg, Jack sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. He hoped the man and Ray had sorted things out and truly feared Ray hated him after he found out the man thought he and Greg were a bit close. Sure, Greg seemed to think the opposite, but Jack rather thought Greg was the sort to lie to a person to make them feel better-but only if he cared about them. Which was lovely, of course, but Jack didn't want Greg to stress himself over his feelings. He wanted Greg happy. Ray, too. It was difficult, really. A sticky situation.

Jack shook his head and got himself a chocolate chip cookie (he had bought a bag from the store, God forbid he try to bake) to much one as he waited for Angel to arrive. Oh well. Plenty to talk about, he supposed.

"Darling, if...It wouldn't be only on you. He knew. Ray is a smart man. And you are responsible, you warned him, you told him," Jack raised a hand to stroke at Angel's hair, "Listen, when you get the news, I can be there, if you like. Or not. I want you just to be comfortable," Jack was thoughtful for a moment, "Perhaps that is why Ray's been weird lately. Greg was saying...Since you shared, I'm having problems with the other man, naturally. Darling, this might be glamourous, us sharing affairs," He tried to smile as he stroked at Angel's arm, "Greg thinks Ray is upset that he and I are so close, emotionally and what not. Perhaps...That drove him. Not that you aren't attractive, my darling, and not that a man would have to be drove to want to, of course. So, if it does come out that Ray..." Jack couldn't even say it, his eyes looking down and away, "It could very well be on both our heads, you know."

"Thank you, Papito," Angel sighed, leaning into the touch even if she could barely feel it, thought the wig. At the news of Greg's closeness with Jack, Angel nodded a little, "Honey, I saw the way the man spoke about you. It ain't your fault, less you did something utterly scandalous to make him look at you like that. He's got it bad. But it ain't nothin' like he's got for that family of his." At the mention of Ray having caught the virus, she looked down. "I'm not putting this on you, sweetheart. An' the docs say s'a lot more managable now than it was when I... when I died." She wasn't ashamed of dying; she didn't want to have the connection between 'Ray' and 'death', that felt like it made.

"I just... I can't believe I did that, honey. Papi'd have my head." She could only imagine the lecture she'd get from Collins, if he found out. This was the one thing, that made her glad he wasn't here.

"I did dress in drag and shimmy with him to Spice Girls," Jack smiled a bit, "Shameless, I know," He chuckled softly, just trying to find some ease in the room as he sighed heavily, "Dear, I just want you to know you aren't the only guilty party. I made Ray uneasy, you were your gorgeous self and he didn't pay attention to the risks, didn't care. We are all a part of it and you are not alone. You're never alone," He leaned into Angel, "Listen. We all make mistakes. Lord knows I have, at least, alright, and you can't, can not, put this all on yourself. You know what? I bet he's fine, you know. I mean, the man has gone through so much, and he puts up with Greg. He has to be graced by God, really," Jack tried to smile again, getting closer this time as he patted Angel's leg, "And you've learned your lesson, of course. I might not be Papi, but if you do it again, I'll have your head or something threatening that we all know I'd never follow through on but I'm saying anyway to try and seem like a tough guy. I think my jeans are too tight to pull it off, what do you think?"

She laughed a little at the threat, leaning into him all the more, essentially snuggling the man. "I know. I- I just don't have it in me to be mad at him, you know? I knew he was going through something. I would have had to been a blind-deaf child to miss it, but-" She shook her head a little. "Never again, baby, I promise,"

Jack loved snuggling, so they were set, "Yes, well, I've it in me to be a bit peeved, at least. Guilty, too, as all get out, of course, but then, oh well, hm? Never again, so we're set." He nodded once, "Now, we just need to wait for those results, as well as hope to God those two sort all this out or I might burst. I'm rather afraid I'm going to have to give up Gregory, is the thing, so I suppose my waiting for them to talk this out and your waitingg for the results...We're just in a state, aren't we? Mind, I'm not saying mine is nearly as stressful as yours, of course, but...I don't want to lose Gregory," Jack fiddled with Angel's sleeve between his fingers, "Silly, I know. To want a man to risk his husband's comfort in a relationship over a friendship with some poof, but you know...I do care a lot about him."

"S'not silly at all, baby. Under all that bustle and bitch, he really is a fine man. He just don't like people know that, does he?" She sighed, shaking her head. "They'll hash it out. He's too stubborn to lose his husband and kids to some queen who can shake her hips well. Same way he's too stubborn to let anyone tell him who he gets to be friends with. It'll sort out, honey," Angel nodded a little, turning to kiss Jack's cheek chastely.

"Mm, I hope so," Jack nodded, smiling at the kiss, "I just want them to be alright. I'm so happy with Jules, I mean, at least I think I am-What is it about other's having trouble that always makes you wonder if you are? I'm happy, but what if he isn't, tra la la...Am I paying enough attention to him? I gush over him whenever I can, I love him to pieces. I'm afraid all of a sudden I might not seem like I'm as thrilled to be with him as I am, but that's hardly true. Oooh, woees," Jack shook his head and laughed, "Alright. Enough. Unless you have more to get off your chest, then spill, otherwise, we should think of better things to do with our fine selves then mope."

Angel turned to face Jack at his last little rant, and it was enough to get her to smile. "Honey, I don't think it's possible for anybody to not feel loved 'round you. You're positively radiant, do you know that? He has to know. I've barely said ten words to the man, and I can tell; there's no doubt, okay?" Giving Jack one last peck, he glanced over his shoulder suggestively.

"You know, I do remember there being talk of tea.."

"Oh my lord!" Jack laughed with surprise and hopped up, "What did I say? I was great at tea? Who the Hell am I fooling?" He was laughing still as he got into the kitchen, the kettle having obviously already boiled and he rolled his eyes, putting it on again as he got the tea pot all settled up, "Never let it be said that I'm not enthuastic about getting my guests tea, even if a bit scattered," Jack shook his head as he leaned against the counter, "Do you take yours with anything, dear?"

This time, Angel did follow Jack into the kitchen, leaning in the doorway as she watched him set up the kettle again. "I wouldn't know, dear. What sort of tea is it, anyway? Oh, like I know. How 'bout you just give me what you're having then, huh?"

"Oh, I was going for raspberry, I wasn't even thinking of asking! Oh, what a mannerly man I am," Jack shook his head, "Are you allergic or anything? Just a lovely sweet tea, really. You don't really take it with anything, but if you wanted I could make regular tea and...well, you said you didn't know so we'll go with raspberry."
