Who: Holmes and Watson
What: A visit
Where: Eden Resort and Casino
When: Now
Warnings: Possible.

Watson had felt excited by the prospect of Irene visiting him in Monte Carlo. Not Holmes, but someone connected to Holmes. It was better than nothing, and Watson did genuinely like Irene. He scarcely knew her, certainly not as well as Holmes knew her, and he hoped to rectify that some day.

Perhaps the only thing better than a visit from Irene would be a visit from Holmes himself, and that was just what Watson was preparing for. He shed the more modern clothes Anthony had provided him, preferring a white waist shirt and suspenders with a waist coat and top hat, to greet Holmes.

He wandered tot he site of the port key to await Holmes' arrival. If the old boy stood him up, Watson would be crushed. Holmes was his best friend, and he'd never intended to sell out, or seem to have turned his back on Holmes. He had several justifications lined up, to try and explain himself, though he hoped in the end it wouldn't be necessary. Holmes knew him, perhaps better than he knew himself in some ways. Holmes would understand why he'd been enamored of Eden, when he'd arrived, when Crowley offered him Paradise by the handful.

He glanced nervously at the port key. He felt Holmes ought to have arrived already, if he were coming at all.
