Who: Walt & Tach
Where: New Orleans (Snake Pit and elsewhere)
When: Thursday evening-night
What: TACH & WALLY SITTIN' IN A TREE!

Walt wasn't totally sure how dates were supposed to work, since he had only limited experience, but he knew what had worked for his parents, and it had worked well for them, so he was waiting at the portkey dropoff with a blue carnation for Tach, since she seemed to have liked the blue ones before, and a single one was less of a problem to carry around than a whole bunch of them.

He wasn't dressed up, not really, but he wasn't wearing his usual work clothes, clean jeans and a buttondown with a vest instead of scuffed jeans and a t-shirt. He was also wearing his lucky fedora, he didn't really remember where he'd gotten the fedora, or why it was lucky, but it was, and he had it.

He laughed brightly, nodding, "I like that idea. I'll tell the bosslady that I need a few days off. She'll be fine with it, she keeps telling me I should take a vacation." He shrugged, "But yeah, I can show you some of the historical sites, Ayers Rock and stuff. My parents were really big on making sure I knew about history and geography and stuff like that."

"Okay, cool!" Tach said, excited. "I usually just download stuff like that, but it would be neat to see it in person!" She was getting to visit all kinds of interesting places since she'd met Wally.

"Hey, do you like horses? You could come over and ride mine sometime, if you want. I bet they'd like you."

"We'll even take pictures, the old fashioned way and everything." He said, nodding decisively. He shrugged at the question, "Horses are cool, most of them like me, donkeys too, we took a mule-train up a mountain once, most of them liked me except for this one really old nag, but she didn't like anybody."

Tach giggled. "Black and white? With costumes?" She'd always wanted to do something like that.

"Do animals usually see you?" she asked. They tended to pick up on things a lot better than humans did. Sometimes her camouflage mode couldn't confuse animals, but she wasn't sure if that was because they could smell her or what.

He laughed again, "Sepiatone. I bet I can find a camera that takes the sepiatone pictures. Really I meant just with film instead of like, digital. But I kind of like your idea too."

He shrugged, "And I don't know if animals can smell me or what, but they usually know where I am. Mom sometimes said they should get me a parrot so they always knew where I was, not that they ever really had any problems losing me. They pretty much always knew where I was too."

"We should do that! I'll find us some costumes." She knew a few of the costume places around her area, and some thrift shops.

"A parrot would be cool. It could sit on your shoulder." She giggled. "I'm glad I haven't lost you, yet. I brought food for Munch so he could help me find you, just in case."

He nodded, "I've got a few costumes, I kind of collect them by accident. And Munch usually knows how to find me, I think it's because I usually have the food." He shrugged then, "But yeah, if you lose me he's probably your best bet to find me again."

"Oh, cool! I have one costume, but I don't think it will work for this." Her Motoko bodysuit wasn't exactly 'old-fashioned', considering it came from about twenty years in the future.

"Yup, Munch or a chip." She might have brought a spare GPS tracking chip in her pocket, just in case she needed it. She'd thought all of this through.

He grinned again, "Still not sure if that would work, it might, I mean, nobody's tried it before, and sometimes wristwatches don't work right for me, so I might screw up electronics, but I'm not totally sure on that." A shrug, "Worth trying though. Munch is probably a better bet though, just in case you can't get a clear reading off of a chip on or near me."

He stretched then, "I've got a few costumes, some of them might even work for old fashioned pictures, it's the ones I use for when I'm helping with the tours." And sometimes when he was making the deliveries, just for fun.

"Hmm.." She tilted her head, thinking. "Protective casing," she said with a sage nod. She was no engineer, but she had spent enough time in a lab to know a little bit about problem solving. She could make a little case to block interference and still allow the chip to transmit a signal.

"Okay, you wear that and I'll find a costume for me! And then we'll go after Christmas and we'll see history things and go to the beach!"
