Her hand had slipped out of his when Jareth stood, but DD had no doubt seen it. She ignored Jareth's comment about teasing. She didn't curtsy to her old friend, but was a bit amused by Jareth's little bow, in spite of the Dog's fuming. Lirael's mood was suddenly much brighter.
"King Jareth was just discussing my bells," Lirael told the Disreputable Dog. "He seems particularly interested in Kibeth." She grinned.
