Lirael gave Jareth a sidelong glance. He was charming, to be sure, and she had no illusions of having a monopoly on his attentions. Still, to be too obvious with his flirtations with his escort in earshot would be rude.
The Hereafter? That sounded like something to do with death, but Candy certainly didn't look like something from any of the precincts. As much as Lirael traveled through Death, though, she knew next to nothing of what people considered 'afterlife'. The Disreputable Dog hadn't really been forthcoming regarding what greeted her beyond the Ninth Gate.
She smiled welcomingly at Candy, reclaiming her seat and motioning the other girl to an empty, nearby seat. "Come, sit for a bit. I believe you and I are the only humans here tonight." She normally wasn't such a social butterfly, and she suspected Jareth was rubbing off on her. "We should come up with a plan in case the boys get bored and decide to boil us for a stew." She glanced over her shoulder at their dates, a playful smile on her lips.
Dream remained standing, black eyes surveying the Goblin King and the girls.
