Who: Elliot, Johnny Hickory, Tachikoma
What: Epic scuffles, Halloween personality switches, ahoy!
Where: Pub o' Jour
When: Halloween's Eve (yeah we're early, impatient much?)
Warnings: Violence, cursing, candy corn

Johnny neatly dodged another giggling Tinkerbell on her way to the powder room, trying to not inhale the miasma of glitter following her. This was Tachi's first sortie out as a real pub musician. Bagpipes, of all the instruments to choose. He chuckled and shook his head. Made sense with the bubbly and beyond quirky robot-turned-girl and she had been practicing the aptly themed music for a good while.

Screwing the hat better to his head, he had chosen a respectable Zorro costume for the night's festivities, Johnny wandered on into the pub. The public was starting to mill and fill the area.

Eliot was in his zone, and didn't hear Tach. He lashed out, seeking to connect a punch, a kick. He was annoyed, not the best reason to fight, really, but Eliot wasn't going to back down now. His blood was roaring in his ears, his mind focused on nothing but the thrill of the fight, the heat of the moment, the sharp wall of pain on contact with his opponent.

Ow, fuck. Three guesses what this guy did for a job and the first two don't count. Johnny worked on keeping the tally even, punch for a punch, kick for a kick. He could bowl the guy over (like this guy was trying), so his hits were focused to where they'd do the best damage. Kidney shots, cradle of the shoulder, just not the face or nuts. That was dirty.

Tach watched with her hands over her mouth. She felt like she couldn't breathe, and there was something wrong with her skin. It felt all tingly and warm. Why was she so confused? She should want them to stop!

"Stop!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. All around the crowd, people's Blackberries and iPhones started going off, alerting them to messages they'd just received that read 'STOP!', as well.

One drunk, oblivious to the creepy mass text message, approached the barely-clothed Tachikoma from behind. "Hey, baby," he slurred, wrapping an arm around her waist and leaning in to kiss the stunned girl on the mouth.

Tach's arrival had distracted Eliot enough that he turned, just in time to see the guy grab her. based on her startled reaction, Eliot knew she didn't know the guy. Forgetting the goon he was fighting, he turned his focus to this other guy, swiftly avoiding Tach as he moved to take the idiot down.

Johnny was about to protest being suddenly ignored when he saw over his shoulder what the problem was. Some grubby guy was feeling Tachi up.

"Oh screw that."

He grabbed Tachikoma, scooping her up and away from the drunk bastard and giving his opponent plenty of space to break the guys lips and hands.

Tach started to duck before Johnny picked her up and moved her. Johnny was still holding her, his hands on her waist. She was so confused by this point, and her heart was beating really fast. "I think I'm malfunctioning," she confessed, sounding out of breath.

"How come you and Ellie are fighting?" she asked, frowning a little at a cut on Johnny's face.

Now that it had spread out of the circle, more people were starting to get involved in the brawl. One guy elbowed a guy who'd accidentally stepped on his foot. The second guy responded with a punch to the face, and it just spread on down the line.

It took less than a minute to knock the guy to the floor. A full on fight had spread out around him, but Eliot hardly noticed. His focus was Tach, and making sure Tach was all right. He turned to find Johnny still had his arm around her. Eliot growled, a low, rumbling from his core.

"Anyone would be, he wasn't that pretty. You okay?" He shook his head at her question, laughing. "Oh you know me, always making friends in the best of ways."

Eliot's growl was easy to hear and he opened his mouth to defend when someone cuffed the back of his head, involved in their own fight. With a newly displeased look, he handed the blinking woman over to the growly man.

"Here, be right back."

Usually in a fight like this, Tachikoma would be incredibly useful in subduing opponents. She was built to be a combat tank, after all! But now she was just standing there, blinking up at Eliot and thinking about how she'd like to play with his hair. There was a fight going on and she was thinking about hair. What was wrong with her?

"Are you okay?" she asked, looking down and running her fingers over his raw knuckles.

"Fine," Eliot answered. He wasn't a big talker anyway, but worked up for a fight, he was in no mood to bother with words. He growled again, low in his throat. He was a trained fighter, and having a fight going on around him made him antsy. He wanted to be part of it, he had been the one to start it, after all. It was his fight, and he was standing on the sidelines. With Tach, who was safe, for the moment. He sighed. "You?" he grunted, to try and make sure Tach was all right. he didn't care what happened to the other guy.

Johnny's training came from bar fights like this and he had a grin on his face as he jumped into the fight after the drunken idiot who hit him. It wasn't like the other guy, where he had to pay attention and fight, this was whooping mayhem. The midnight hour began to chime and Johnny's grin grew rakish...

Tach nodded a little to Eliot. "I feel kind of funny.." She'd never been sick before, but she imagined this warm, lightheadedness must be what it was like. She saw Eliot looking sort of fidgety, and she took a step back, leaning against the bar. She glanced around at the fight, all the noise sort of blurring together. "It's okay," she said, in case Eliot was waiting for her permission to get back to the fight. As long as he didn't fight Johnny, she didn't mind.

Then the hour chimed. Tachikoma's face changed, and her skin became more shiny and 'plastic' looking. She pushed off from the bar, pulling one of the guns from her holster. It didn't look so fake anymore. She fired a warning shot up into the air. "Cut it out!" she yelled, in a voice that carried throughout the bar.

Eliot really, really, did not like guns. And he was not happy that Tach had a real gun in her hand, after promising him she would carry fake ones (he had compromised, to get that far. He would have preferred no guns at all). He stood dumbfounded for a moment, trying to convince himself this was not happening. And then he did the only thing he could do, he went for the gun.

Zorro, slipped from his opponents and onto a rickety table, jumping on a few backs before landing on the stage and brandishing his rapier in the stagelight. A three security people clambered to the stage and with a heroic laugh he parried and countered them, disarming without harming.

Motoko could see this guy was good, but she was a trained officer on an elite task force with a cybernetic body. When Eliot touched her skin, he'd notice that it was cold and hard. As the guy went for her raised arm, Motoko swung her secondary weapon--a military-issue pistol--from it's holster and pressed the barrel against the back of the guy's head.

"Stand down," she barked, her voice much lower than Tachikoma's normal cadence. This guy seemed to be a civillain, and she didn't know why he was going for her gun, but she was in the middle of a riot and she was damn well going to do some crowd control.

Several of the patrons had frozen when the gun went off, their fight forgotten. Still, there were a few oddballs in the group. There was a cop chasing a robber, a walking skeleton, and Ziggy Stardust, to name a few.

"Tach. Stop it. Give me the gun." Eliot held his stance. He was aware of her commanding presence, but he ignored it. He hadn't taken time to look around to see that everyone in costume had essentially become their costume. He wasn't dressed up, he didn't change. The idea of it never crossed his mind. "I don't like guns, Tach. Why do you have a gun?"

"Major Motoko Kusanagi," she corrected him. She moved to pull her arm (and gun) away from him. "Lucky for me, you weren't in charge of giving out the license to carry. Go dislike guns somewhere else, buddy, I've got a riot to take care of. Word of advice, avoid the zombies."

"Oh fuck me," Eliot grumbled. "Tach. Get a hold of yourself. Seriously. You're not Kusanagi. You're Tachikoma."

Motoko raised an eyebrow, looking at the guy like he'd sprouted a second head. "Tachikoma? Tachikomas are tanks. Do I look like a large blue tank to you?"

This was not her specialty, and she was missing key gear for dealing with this situation. A tachikoma would be useful for crowd control, and she couldn't even access the 'Net. "Great. I'm back in the stone ages again," she said with a sigh. Still, she had to work with what she had.

The skeleton ran by and Motoko shoved a knee into its ribcage, scattering the bones into harmless piles. Then she ran for the stage, swinging herself up onto it. "Hey. Captain Hook. Zorro. I think you've had enough."
