"That's a brilliant plan," Cassidy concluded, handing Soren the bags as they were handed to him. He closed his window before driving back onto the road, smiling faintly. "Where do you suggest we go? Back the way we came, or further up the road, into shepherd's territory?"
He was mellow and content, and having Soren there by him made the experience somehow more satisfying. Cass couldn't think of a single moment where he was more relaxed without Soren around, than when he was with. He leaned back in his seat and made grabbyhands for his fries.
