"Dog was keeping me company while I waited." He grinned, holding Dog up enough so that the animal looked very much like he was swimming in midair to reach Soren. "Of course we'll be on our best behaviour, though I admit part of me really wants to know what that 'or else' is." He chuckled. While Cass had been with Henn, Soren had been napping, then idly emailing back and forth with his agent, discussing possible covers for his new book. It probably wasn't as effective as what Cass had done, but Soren didn't want to go bother Teja just yet.
When he looked at Cass, he sighed and bit his lower lip, shifting a little as he sat. Once Dog was flailing and yipping to go after the ball, Soren let him go, chuckling as he ran as if his life depended on it. Standing up, Soren shrugged. "Doesn't really matter, as long as we've got music and some food, eventually." He stretched and yawned. "I'm hungry as balls."
