And condescension, real or imagined, would set Cass off. Faster than he should have been for someone so fatigued, Soren stood and placed one of his burned and bloody palms on his husband's chest. "She's angry. Let her go. I need to have someone look at my hands." He looked back at Sable for a moment, his way of acknowledging that he knew she could have helped.
