Erik found himself at ease. He didn't have any need to worry about Hunters, he was perfectly capable of defending himself, by his strength or his abilities beyond that. And his companion for the night was an amiable one, though he didn't like hearing that Malakai's world wound up on the brink of extinction by the vampire's thirst for war.
"It seems that your world's vampires have no foresight. Your kind doomed themselves and their food supply with them. I have no pity for your world. Simply pity for you." He looked Malakai over with small, curious smile. "Dawn's only an hour away and we've much to discuss. I woke up in the basement here, there's a living space there. No windows."
