Mary nodded and pressed the up button, smiling when the doors slid open right away. Mary had a lot to be happy about - new friends always pleased her, and so did helping a new person get settled.
She hit the button for the tenth floor, then led Star down the hall to her apartment. It was fairly empty, Lucifer having likely taken the kids somewhere, and Mary leaned down to pick up a glossy tabby that had brushed against her legs. "Just lock the door after you, if you don't mind." She grinned and went to the fridge to get a ginger ale for star, popping the can open and pouring it into a glass. "Here you go."
