"Yeah," Sirius said, nodding. "I'm getting that." It might take a while to sink in, but already things seemed brighter.
He knocked on the door, feeling a bit of the same trepidation he'd felt when he thought some stranger, alien, or perhaps a man-eating plant monster would answer the door instead of James. Instead, a short, dark-haired girl opened the door, a finger holding the place in her book.
Bree looked up at Sirius, recognizing the new face without any introduction. She smiled up at him. "Hullo," she said. She decided it would be a little odd if she were to give him a big hug, since he didn't really know her yet. It had been a while since Sirius had spent much time visiting, though, so she was glad he was back, and Uncle James seemed happy about it. "I'm Bree."
"You're loud," she said to James, sticking her tongue out at him briefly. "I'm surprised neither of you has a bloody nose."
Padfoot grinned. "She is just like Moony," he said, amused at being scolded by a little girl.
