Kakia had been surprised to get the invite from her brother, but pleasantly so. And as pleased as she was to get some time with him, she was more than a bit curious as to what it was all about. It didn't really matter... She was getting lobster out of the deal.

Generally a fan of taking her time, she'd made a point of being ready to go when he said he'd be there, she was just putting in her earrings in when she felt him, and her smile grew as she heard the knock. With a hand smoothing down the front of her dress, she snagged her bracelet off the vanity and moved to open the door.

"Hello, doll..."

	"Of course." Taking the bracelet, he wrapped it around her wrist and fastened it. When he was finished, he kept her hand in his. "I brought you a gift." Dipping into his pocket, he presented her with a ring that had the Chinese symbol for vice on it. He'd had it specifically made for her. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Her eyes lit up at the idea of a gift. "Is it my birthday?" Not that she had any idea when her birthday was, or how old she was precisely. "Or am I just that wonderful?" It didn't matter really... gifts were always appreciated. As he showed her the ring she ooohed lightly, wiggling her finger so he could put it on. "'Mos... it's lovely. It really is." There was something a bit delightful in knowing there was ll sorts of shit going on all over, and she was going to ignore it all. It's not like any of it was really her concern anyhow. "Anywhere?"

She thought for a moment, then closed her eyes, transporting them both to a dockside restaurant in Maine... freshest lobster possible. Fancy it was not, but it promised to be delicious. "It's bring your own bottle..."

"Anywhere." He smiled at her. "You just do. And I missed you."

He looked around when they landed. It was definitely not a place he would have picked, that's for sure, but he knew she generally had very good taste, so he trusted her judgment.

"Is it? Ok." One thought had a very nice bottle of wine appearing in his hand, something that went very well with seafood. "This work for you, doll?"

"It's perfect."

With a smile and a light nudge, she directed him in the door of the place and smiled at the hostess, pointing out the table she wanted - a bit secluded, with a lovely view of the water. Rather than sit across from her brother, she took the seat beside him, offering a nod to the waiter as he dropped off wine glasses for them.

"Aww... I miss you too. How was the honeymoon? Still in wedded bliss?"

	Mos opened the bottle with deft movements then poured them both generous glasses. He nodded. "The honeymoon was fun. Asia is always a treat, you know. Especially with someone who has never had wasabi." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

She sipped at her wine, nodding in approval.

"Never had wasabi? How did she manage that, precisely?" Kakia's brow knit the slightest bit. Her niece - sister in law? - was so weird. "I'm glad you had fun... missed some of the crazy here. which is probably for the best."

He had also missed her minor breakdown, but that was a very, very good thing so far as she was concerned.

	"She didn't eat for about a millenia or two?" He gave her an indulgent smile and a shrug, knowing what she was thinking. "Oh? What did I miss?"
