Sam was in the living room, sitting on the couch and working on his homework. Unfortunately, he couldn't really keep his concentration up for more than a few minutes at a time. He'd talked to Parker earlier, and was still processing the information she'd given him.

After reading the same paragraph for the seventh time, he got up to pour himself a glass of water. It was time for a break.

	Sam's smile didn't falter at his dad's stoic lack of affection. He briefly considered telling his dad it was okay if he wanted to stay the night with Sophie, but he didn't want to make him any more uncomfortable. He just wanted Nathan to have a nice time. "Bye.
