Where: Their habitual diner
Warnings: George has a fucking mouth like a god damn hell ass sailor.
Jason was not depressed, which was an improvement. At worst, he was bummed, but that still allowed for moments of amusement and smirking and other forms of respite from his sadness. And that was the reason he'd chosen to cash the raincheck he'd made for breakfast with George. That was, of course, assuming that she ever ate anything besides waffles.
It was strange that they were friends, or whatever they were, considering they were in much the opposite business. He didn't think of her as someone who killed, but rather someone whose job was to obey fate's whims, whereas Jason's job was to defy it as much as possible. His job was also to write, which he hadn't been doing lately, and should probably get back on top of.
Jason was sitting in the same part of the same diner that was their usual haunt, no pun intended. It'd been the first time he'd left his house for anything other than bare necessities in something like a month.
