Sonya unlocked the door to her apartment, forcing the emotions and memories in the back of her mind where they couldn't disturb her. She almost expected that Tsung would appear again, but the fact that it wasn't even 'her' Tsung, that he was from an alternate realm, that made her head hurt. In her mind, the memory of her husband vanishing last January, the fear, combined with the pain and anger when she was in labor still strong. When it passed, she thought she could handle a visit from Shang Tsung, now, she wasn't so certain.

If there was one thing she hated, it was uncertainty.

Dismissing the nanny, she made a bee line for her son's room, right across from her own in the cozy apartment. He was awake when she peered over his crib, visibly on the verge of crying even as she let him grip her finger in his tiny hand. She looked up at the clock placed over his changing table; it was close to his feeding time anyway.

Holding him carefully, she made her way to the kitchen, having enough energy to conjure and prepare a bottle with 'people milk' she stored in the fridge-a tip she received from a female soldier on base. A final twist sealed the bottle before she was able to feed him.

	Shang nodded, quickly reaching for the cloth. "Yes, that's a good idea." It was quite an odd scene. It's probably be disturbing if some of the defeated Earth warriors saw him now, holding a baby over his shoulder. He'd tell no one of this.. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Danny seemed to loose interest, now trying to shove his fist into his mouth as though it was important.

Sonya herself was torn between tension and feeling drained. Tense because for all these months, it was just her and Danny (oh sure, there was Gani and Jane and even Aziraphale, but Danny was her blood) and she wasn't sure how she felt about Tsung hold him. She felt drained because she still had a career and child and both were exhausting by themselves.

She leaned against the arm rest of the couch.

	Shang could never understand wh babies dod that thing with their fist. Yes, he had known a warrior or circus perormer who could do it. But not babies. He lightly rocked him, assuming that would be better, looking at Sonya then. "You must be exhausted.. but I could hand him back to you if you like." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	The rocking put a smile on the infant's face, but he was a bit calmer. Sonya meanwhile pushed herself off the couch. "I'm used to it." It was more the emotional drain then physical. "Give him back. He'll need to be changed soon then it's bedtime." (Reply to this) (Parent)
