He grinned at her, tongue flicking over his lips. She was charming, and delightful, and he decided, then and there, that he would do his best to help her find a way to practice her old job.
"You know... on occasion, I find myself at dinners, or meetings, and sent to utter dullness by my company. I would, on such occasions, be willing to compensate you, in an undocumented fashion."
His words were low, simple for her.
He blushed at the last.
"But I do find your company most pleasant, beyond any business idea. Being around and with a woman of such ideas and looks is something that compels me."
He sipped water, then nodded.
"The show I would take you to is a simple murder mystery, well performed, well studied, with some special effects, upon a live stage."
