Sam nodded to the two nursemaids and gave Anne a quick smile before quietly crossing the room to the crib. There was his son, peacefully asleep. Sam smiled and ran a light touch over the front of Aidan's hair and held his little hand on one of his fingers.
"Hi, buddy. Daddy missed you." He whispered as the baby dreamed of his bottle, tiny smile playing on his lips.
He quietly backed away from the crib and took Anne in his arms again. "I missed you, too, you know."
