She understood. She looked at the table for a minute, hoping he wouldn't hate her.
"Do you remember how I said I tried to get over you? Because there was no sign of you or anyone that I knew from home. I was more lonely than I let on to anyone. And I was convinced I had to get over you, all over again. Well..." Just say it, Lois. She closed her eyes as if bracing for an impact. "I went to interview Bond. James Bond. You know, the James Bond. And I slept with him." Slight pause, and then she rambled quickly, her words running together. "It was a one time thing. James Bond, you know. And it was a really long time ago. Last summer. Early summer. Long time ago. I don't think he's even here anymore. I should have told you earlier, but I haven't even thought about it in a long time."
