Lois caught her breath as they rocketed skyward, and found a small beginning of a grin on her face once they slowed. She also found she was hugging Clark much more tightly than she had a moment ago. She kept telling herself to not look down. Don't look down, keep your eyes focused on Clark.
Sometimes in the past, she had briefly wondered if this was the reason she loved him, if it was because of his special powers and what he was able to do. It made him more attractive, to be sure, women loved an able man, one who could fly and do anything. But Lois knew now, with her memories restored, she loved him even if he was a regular human like everyone else on the planet. In fact, she'd possibly loved him even more after he became human and still tried to help people.
Lois broke out of her momentary reverie. "Me too," she said quietly, looking up at him with complete trust and adoration.
