Steve Rogers/Captain America ([info]kicksnaziass) wrote in [info]utr_logs,

Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:olivia dunham, peter bishop, steve rogers, walter bishop

Who: Steve and Olivia but Peter and Walter are welcome to join in!
What: Hanging out
Where: Boston, the basement at Harvard
When: Saturday
Rating: Probably PG-13 if Walter keeps talking about sex xD and quite possibly for darker themes. I never know.

He'd read Walter's post and found himself both amused and a bit weirded out. Honestly, the man was a bit strange and Olivia hadn't been joking. Yet all that aside Steve wanted to see Olivia and figured if he wanted to see her, he'd have to meet her 'family' as well so he'd bite the bullet. With a small shoulder bag over his shoulder resting against his hip he made his way to the Boston Portkey and from there took a bus to Harvard University. Winding his way around he found an elevator (after asking directions from a student) and headed down to the basement.

Coming upon a rather sturdy door he actually found himself hesitating. What a strange place to work! That and he was wondering if Olivia was having a laugh at his expense. However he reached up and knocked firmly anyway, before sliding his hands into his pockets and waiting.

Steve didn't really understand any of it and merely shrugged, nodding.

"Well. Okay then." Yet he was a little uncertain about the ethics of such experiments. Though if the enemy was using things far worse then what else could you do?

The ethics were questionable, that was very true. After all, Walter's lab assistant died and that was what got him put away, right? But she trusted Walter, and more then that Peter to do the right thing. Which was very ironic considering Peter was a crook. Probably best not to bring that up though.

Then there was the big tank in the middle of the room which she went in to get John's memories. It was a little surreal being with Steve here like this. "So uh.. dinner's ready. I should get the guys."

"Oh. Alright. Would you like me to set the table or anything?" Back into gentleman mode he went! Because he was about to meet the make-shift "family" of a very pretty woman.

"Sure if you want to. Everything's in the cabinet by the stove.. I'll be right back." Then she headed up and out to go find Peter and Walter and bring them down for dinner.

While she went on a search for the two mystery men, Steve got out the dishes. It helped ease his nerves when he was able to do something productive and? Setting the table was productive. So he tried not to think about meeting Peter and Walter and instead focused on setting the table.

“Sorry I’m late,” Walter stated as he finally arrived back to the laboratory. “I turns out that, despite the claim of late century advertisement, it takes more than 3 licks to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop.”
Hanging up his outside jacket, he reflexively donned a white lab coat over her sweater-vest.
“I could probably expedite the process to their claim, but the damage done to the tongue would most likely be irreversible…. Oh, I see the cultures are done,” he concludes in a shifting thought, walking next to Steve to fetch a Petri dish, inside a moldy configuration. “Hard to believe it only took a few hours, yes?” he asks with a enthused smile one might find on a 10 year old.

Olivia smiled as she saw Walter come back up from the lab. "Too bad, that would be one handy lollipop. And yes, the cultures are done but.. you can work on that later."

She would pull him away if she had to from the lab, "Dinner's ready and we have a guest so.. we need to come in and eat and I have to find Peter. Steve is here. You know, Steve that looks like John. That one."

"Yes, sure. Hard to believe." Steve had no idea what Walter was talking about and simply smiled, nodding a little. He glanced at Olivia offering her a little smile. "You should go find Peter. I think I'll be fine here. Won't I, Walter?"

There was no need to go find Peter. He walked in just then, talking on his cell phone, then ending the call and shutting it as he saw Olivia, giving her a warm smile. "Hey Liv!" he said. The smile faded a bit when he saw Captain America...or Steve Rogers, he supposed. Wasn't like the guy was in costume or anything.

"Walter," he said, having heard the tootsie roll pop comment, "probably not the best idea. We may just have to settle for more licks." He gave Steve a nod. "Peter Bishop. Nice to meet you." Even if he did look like John Scott, which didn't say much about how healthy that relationship would be for Olivia. He distracted himself with the cultures his father was talking about. "Remind me what those are again, Walter?"

Walter briefly wore a slightly saddened expression, not unusual when Peter played the part of the “rational” family member. Tongue research would be scrapped. But in an instant the life returned back to his worn face as Peter at least feigned interest in the culture he had been growing.
“Ah, this is a particular growth of heiphinic wotis.” Unsealing the disk, Walter ran his finger along the edge, then placing the moldy formation in his mouth. “Cheese,” he adds, though it is likely that Peter would be the only person to know what Walter was talking about.
“There are numerous types of course. I thought since we have the cow, we might as well explore other dairy options. Did you know that cheese contains casein? This was linked to a scare in the 1990s of cheese aggravating autism.”
He extends the culture towards Steve. “Care to try?” he asks with a smile.

Oh good, no having to go find Peter. She introduced them all briefly and glanced over at whatever Peter and Walter were discussing. "That's cheese?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. Right yeah. Well that was up to Steve if he wanted to try any of it but she probably wasn't going to.

"Don't ruin your appetites. Dinner's ready when you guys want to come to the table," she pointed and then went back into the make shift kitchen so that she could get the food out of the oven and onto the plates so that they could eat.

"Maybe a little later, Walter." Steve gently rested a hand on the older man's shoulder. "Because I would hate to spoil my appetite and not eat what Olivia prepared." The man could feel Peter's suspicious gaze on him and the hairs on the back of his neck rose. What was that guy's deal?

He moved over to the table and sat down.
