Gar snorted a bit and squirmed as Rose reacquainted her fingertips with his body. "Heh," he muttered, not yet awake. Then familiarity seemed to flood in Rose's hands and Gar started to laugh, jolting himself out of sleep. He sat up, confused, and looked around dumbly before focusing on Rose. "Huh?" he said with all the eloquence he could muster before noon.
He shook himself out of his daze. "You're still here." He replayed the words in his mind. "I didn't mean that. I meant to say... well, no, I was right the first time. You're never still here." At best he got a vision of her getting dressed through half-lidded eyes and a semi-sincere apology that she wasn't ready for a real relationship. Confronted with both fear and hope, Gar wasn't ready to make a choice and avoided both: "Did I rock your world so thoroughly that you can't feel your legs?"
