It meant that Teja would get made in his own time, that his family would be as it should be. It also meant that Toki would be happy, and Toki should be happy. Lilo didn't like thinking of Toki as anything less.
She chuckled when he asked about her, licking her lower lip. "You're asking me now?" That made her laugh, and she continued to eat, plucking tiny pinches of frosting and licking them off of her fingers. "What I do? Well, professionally, I surf.
