Tobias just held her for a long minute, chin resting in her hair, enjoying the moment. He remembered what it was like, right after the war- how depressed he'd been, the anger at Jake. But that was half his life ago- he wouldn't say he was past it, but things were better, at least. Her just being here was proof of that.
After a minute, he laughed softly and stepped back, hands still gently on her waist. "C'mon, I promised you dinner. And unless you want to suffer something incredibly awful out of a can, we should head out before the restaurants fill up."
