"2009, yeah. From what I hear, those ten years weren't really that important, though. Don't worry about it." He closed the space between them and wrapped his arms around her; it was strange, after so long, for her to still be so small. He wasn't much taller, but he had grown broader, as men tend to do, and he felt gigantic hugging her.
"Don't worry about David. It works out in the end. He's not going to bother you," He spoke with certainty, even though he knew that even just his being back in this timeline disrupted the course of events. He wouldn't ruin the idea behind it- he didn't see the point in ruining the idea.
