Who: Ron and Hermione When: December 30th - Day she arrived Where: London - Diagon Alley & Their Flat Why: He's coming to pick her up
Hermione : Hermione sat on the edge of a the bank stairs, curling her legs underneath her and looking up. She had appeared in London and found her way here. It was familiar even though it was not the same.
Ron: Ron had been there for about 10 minutes, he had been watching her, wondering if he should just disappear, she would be better off after all.
Hermione : Hermione had just about given up. She stood up and smoothed her skirt before picking up her bag and walking down the stairs.
Ron: Ron could tell she was upset and he couldn't stand that so he walked over, ignoring his thoughts of running and greeted her. "Hey"
Hermione : "Hello, Ronald," she said softly, pulling at her sweater with her free hand. 'Thank you for coming."
Ron: "Why wouldn't I have come?" He asked as he looked down.
Hermione : "I don't know. You seemed quite angry at me,' she said sadly.
Ron: "Not angry.." Ron said as he tugged at his shirt. "Just...confused."
Hermione : "Whatever happened exactly, I don't remember it. Whatever it is, I'm sure I didn't do it on purpose," she looked away from him.
Ron: "I guess" Ron moved from standing in front of her to flopping down on the steps, trying to decide what he wanted to say.
Hermione : She sat down next to him and frowned. "Ron, I wouldn't do that to you on purpose. You know me. I am so scared. I have no idea what's going on here and I really can't stand not knowing anything and having you sour towards me."
Ron: He leaned against her, his head resting on her shoulder. "I'm sorry."
Hermione : She dropped her purse, looping her arm around his back. "It's alright. I just really am, well, lost here. I missed you."
Ron: "I missed you too, more than you know." He whispered this worried it would sound too sappy.
Hermione : She squeezed him. "So, what...what should I do now?" she asked, looking down at her purse.
Ron: "Tell me where you live, so I can move you back in with me." He said rather demandingly.
Hermione : Hermione's eyes widened in shock. "Oh, well," she pulled her wallet out and opened it. "Here is what the ID says."
Ron: He took it and groaned. "Bloody hell..."
Hermione : "What is it? What's wrong?" she asked, fear obviously soaking through her.
Ron: "You don't have to move" He said as he pulled his own id out.
Hermione : She looked at it. "We have the same last nam....oh wow," she said, realizing. 'We're married? Or family? Why...why did you groan?"
Ron: "Because this means I have to do it all over again, and I barely survived last time, and I don't want to do it all over again and I love you..."
Hermione : She smiled at the last part, blushing a deep scarlet red. "You love me, Ron? Really?"
Ron: "Nooo, I was clearly lying." He said with a roll of the eyes. "Yes, I love you."
Hermione : She grinned wider and looked down. "I love you too, Ron. I am just surprised you said it, that's all.'
Ron: "hey, at least I didn't pass out this time." He muttered as he nervously fidgeted beside her.
Hermione : "You passed out?" she laughed, moving her arm from around him. "You're adorable."
Ron: "I am not" He said indignantly.
Hermione : Hermione sighed, leaning on him. "Why not? So...we are married then?"
Ron: "Because I'm not" he said with a sigh. "Yes, but never properly...just by this stupid new world."
Hermione : She nodded sadly. 'That is unfortunate. not that I'm with you here... just that, we won't get to remember that. I'm assuming this isn't the first time that's happened though."
Ron: "We would have if you hadn't left me after I made dinner and asked you..and well passed out."
Hermione : Hermione laughed a little, then tried to quiet herself. "So that's what you asked me. I swear, I swear that I don't remember any of that. I am sure that I had no choice or something bad happened. I'm back though. I am not leaving again."
Ron: "yeah yeah, you say that now." he pouted a bit.
Hermione : "Ron, I love you," she sighed. "I didn't want to leave you. Why would I want to leave you? I'm here now. Isn't that is what is important?"
Ron: "I don't know" he said still very pouty. "You just did, you were here and then you weren't."
Hermione : Hermione sighed, standing up. "Fine. I don't know how I'm going to convince you."
Ron: "So you're going to leave again?"
Hermione : "No,' she shook her head. 'I'm going to walk around to give you time to think about what I said or...to think myself. I don't know what else to say to convince you. I'm serious."
Ron: "If you want to convince me you wouldn't be walking away now." Ron couldn't help but think how much of a girl he sounded like when he said that.
Hermione : She sighed and sat down. "I was going to walk, not leave the city. Ron, please, what do you want me to do?"
Ron: "I don't know." He said as he looked up into her eyes. "This is all so hard."
Hermione : She nodded. "I love you. I don't want to leave. I don't." Her eyes started to water and she closed her eyes tightly, trying to hide it.
Ron: "Don't cry" he pleased. "Please."
Hermione : She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and opened her mouth, breathing in deeply. 'Sorry, sorry."
Ron: Instinct took over and Ron put his arm around her and pulled her to him. "I'm sorry."
Hermione : "Why would I do that?" she asked. "What would possess me? I don't understand. did that vortex take me or was i angry or...what?"
Ron: "You weren't mad." He whispered. "It's just this world."
Hermione : She leaned into him, frowning. "What is our life like here, Ron?"
Ron: "You have a job, I'm useless." He said with a shrug.
Hermione : "You aren't useless, Ron," she shook her head and reached for his hand. "Do we live in a nice place? Do you know how long we've been married?"
Ron: "Why don't you just come home and see?" He suggested.
Hermione : "Sure,' she nodded, smiling at him now. "Come on, love. Maybe we can have a nice dinner."
Ron: "I'm not cooking again..I nearly burned down the flat last time I tried."
Hermione : She laughed and stood up. "I'll do it. Let's just get out of here."
Ron: "Okay" He said as he stood and led her down the street.
Hermione : When they got back to the flat, she looked at the door and shook a bit before opening the door. "How long have I been gone?"
Ron: "Two weeks....you missed Christmas."
Hermione : "I'm so sorry," she said softly. She looked around the flat and opened her mouth in awe. "This is lovely. I can't believe it.'
Ron: "Apparently you are good at what you do."
Hermione : "Well, I'm going to have to go shopping now then,' she smiled to herself.
Ron: "Why?" He asked.
Hermione : "I missed Christmas," she said softly and looked at him. "I want to get you something."
Ron: "Just don't leave me again..." He pleaded.
Hermione : "I'm not," she shook her head. "I just am sorry I missed Christmas. I want to get you something to show how I feel about you.'
Ron: He pulled her to him and kissed her, it was bold for Ron, but all he could think to do. "Just stay, thats all I want."
Hermione : Hermione kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I'm not going anywhere."
Ron: "Good." He said. "Want to see the rest of the flat?"
Hermione : She nodded and let his neck go. "The grand tour, please."
Ron: He showed her around, though he avoided their room.
Hermione : Hermione noticed the fact that they walked right by that door. "Why'd we skip that room?"
Ron: "Umm...cause." he said with a shrug.
Hermione : Hermione sighed and nodded. "Alright then. It's a very nice place. "
Ron: "I think you decorated it, I know I didn't."
Hermione : She shrugged. 'Well, it's a place to live. I'm just happy I know someone here. I'm especially glad it's you though." She walked across the living room, looking at the decorations. "It does seem like me." She turned around and smiled. "So, is anyone else we know here?'
Ron: "Echo, Makenzie, Emma...I think thats it, but I could be wrong."
Hermione : "Oh, I'm sorry Ron. So...you were very alone."
Ron: He shrugged. "Not like I'm not used to it."
Hermione : He seemed so down, that she almost wanted to see the old Ron. The one that flipped out, so she thought she'd try something. "So, we're married huh? When are we planning on having kids?"
Ron: "Oh yeah, we apparently do, a daughter, named Rose."
Hermione : Hermione's mouth dropped open. "You're joking!? Where is she?"
Hermione : "I was just trying to get you to do your pouty lip thing."
Ron: He shrugged. "I don't know, for all I know the vortex took her too."
Hermione : "Have you met her? What's she like?" Hermione asked, sitting down on the couch.
Ron: "No, I haven't met her, no clue what she's like, just that she was here and I don't think she is now."
Hermione : Hermione nodded sadly and curled her legs underneath her. "Oh, well, I guess...we can't worry about that now. I'll just go to work and we'll be a normal couple. As much as we can be. Where do I work?"
Ron: He stood to go get one of her cards from the drawer, returning to her. "Here." Said as he handed her the card. "This isn't just a sick joke or dream is it? I'm not going to wake up alone again am I?"
Hermione : "I'm in law?" she said shocked. "Wow. I guess I can see that though and now, most likely not, especially since you have avoided the bedroom like the plague. What? Do you have a blonde hidden in there? Two weeks too long to be alone?" she teased.
Ron: "No, I just...I don't know. You want to see it?" She asked.
Hermione : "Sure," she nodded and stood up, walking over to the door. "In here, right?"
Ron: He nodded as he followed, his hands buried in his pockets, nervously looking away.
Hermione : She opened the door and turned back towards him. "I don't see a Hippogriff in here, about to eat me alive."
Ron: "I'm not Sirius..." he said. "OH he's here too."
Hermione : Hermione laughed and moved to sit on the edge of the bed. "Why do you look so nervous, Ron?"
Ron: "I don't know, its just weird is all..I mean are you the same Hermione, do you know what has happened? what was the last thing you remember before you came here? Was Harry with you? Are mum and dad okay? Ginny? Everyone? Am I cheating on you by doing this with well...you?"
Hermione : Hermione didn't expect to be bombarded with all of those questions and she leaned back a little on her hands. "Alright. I don't remember being here before. The last thing I really remember was being at my parents. I went to visit them and I was in bed...and this thing sucked me up. I don't remember going to my parents in the first place though. From what I know...they are all okay and how would you be cheating on me?"
Ron: "Well, I was engaged to the other you....the one that left me, so..."
Hermione: "Ron, I highly doubt there are two of me. I am sure that I just don't remember for some unknown reason."
Ron: "You know who Echo, Emma, and Makenzie are?"
Hermione: She looked at him and nodded. "Well, we did go to Hogwarts with them."
Ron: "You are a different Hermione, or I am going mad, either way, you didn't forget..."
Hermione: Hermione frowned. "There are not two of me, Ronald. Maybe I forgot before. I don't know." She spun around and curled on her side on top of the bedspread. This scared her. How could she forget things so easily? She felt out of control and like nothing would ever be okay again. It made her sick to her stomach.
Ron: He moved to lay behind her, his hand caressing her gently. "You are the Hermione I remember, from back home, thats all that matters."
Hermione: This was the second time she had cried that day and it wasn't like her to cry this much, but she couldn't help it. "How did this happen, Ron? My parents? Your parents? Harry? Your whole family? Just gone. The thing I knew most about myself is gone. This has got to be a joke. You're all I have now and because my mind is a mess, you might be cheating on me with me and aren't sure of anything either."
Ron: "You're supposed to be the logical one" He pointed out. "I am the irrational one." He added.
Hermione : She laughed through her tears. "See, there you being adorable again.'
Ron: "You're still you, so is it really cheating?"
Hermione : She shook her head. 'No. I'm me and the people we replaced are married. Unless you want to get divorced, we really don't have much of a choice.'
Ron: "If I asked you to marry me, why would I want to get divorced?"
Hermione : "Technically, you didn't ask me,' she chuckled, wiping her face again.
Ron: "Fine, but I am not cooking the dinner again." Said as he moved to kneel beside her. "Marry me?"
Hermione : She sat up a little and reached out for him, grabbing him to her. "I love you, so much. I've wanted this for a very long time.'
Ron: He smiled at her. "I love you too."
Hermione : She let go of him and her big smile didn't faulter. "What time is it?"
Ron: "Umm" he said confused. ", why?"
Hermione : "Just was tired, wanted to know how late it was,' she shrugged and kissed him quickly.
Ron: He kissed her back, his hands caressing her. "Want to rest?"
Hermione: "Aren't you hungry though? You're always hungry. I said I'd cook,' she yawned.
Ron: "Just rest, I can order food, it isn't that hard." He said. "Right now you need to rest."
Hermione: She wanted to have fun and snuggle up with him, but the day was just too much and now that she was lying on a bed, her tiredness hit her hard. 'Alright, I'll see you later on tonight. Love you. I promise, I'll be more fun tomorrow."
Ron: "Just rest" He said again, more worried about her.
Hermione: Hermione closed her eyes, curling up on top of the covers. She shivered, but fell alseep as soon as she closed her eyes anyway.
Ron: He was hungry, but more interested in staying near her, so he fell asleep next to her.
