Who: Lyssa & Owen
What: Coffee and talking.
When: Sometime after she shows up. Again.
Warnings: Probably not since there's the baby and they just met again.

Lyssa had tidied all Danny's things up to take over to Jack's that she would think he'd need more concered about his needs than her own. But then Owen was going to come round so it had made her change her plans a little. Still as she'd told Jack she really didn't want to be alone. After filling the kettle in the kitchen and pulling out the good ground coffee and all the things that would be needed to make it she'd gone back to pick Danny up. Setting him on her hip she wandered around the strangely empty flat talking to him and singing as she waited on Owen turning up.

Owen wasn't sure he was doing the right thing, technically she was his wife, but she wasn't at the same time. The odd thing was he was concerned for her, and seemed to care for her well being, almost as if they had known each other for ages and he wanted to do all he could to be there for her. The only problem with all of this was that Owen knew that he would never hear the end of it from Gwen and possibly everyone else if they saw just how easily he took this.

Walking down the street Owen pondered if he should just send a message telling Lyssa that something came up, but the other, more respectful part, how ever small and deep down it was, told him to follow through, that he had to do right by her as well as getting past the issues he had with the past.

Finally making his way to the door of the flat, Owen took a deep breath and knocked, giving some respect right off couldn't hurt..could it?

Lyssa debated putting Danny down when she heard the knock at the door. Part of her didn't think Owen was going to show up because after all it couldn't be easy suddenly finding you have a wife and kids.

"Hold on." She called out instead of just shouting it was open and for him to let himself in. "Ready?" She asked Danny who held onto her hair as a form of reply and gave a little squeak. "Love you too Danny-bear." She kissed him on the top of the head as she headed to the door.

She opened it fully then held Danny with both hands again not that he hadn't been safe with one arm round him. "Hey."

Owen waited patiently, pondering running as time passed, but when she opened the door something snapped in him and he knew he made the right decision by staying.

"Hello." He said simply as he looked her over, not in a leering manner, but one such that he simply wanted to learn what she looked like and find what made his other self loved about her.

"This Danny?" It was clearly a stupid question, but for once Owen was short on words and it seemed as good a thing to say as any. "He has your eyes." Cheesy, but again the only thing he could say as he stood there nervously fidgeting with his hands burried deep in his pockets and the bag with the milk in it hanging from his arm.

	"You think so?" She smiled, stepping back and walking away so he could come in. "He looks like you more though, well I thought. Could always get him to settle quicker than me." "Yes, I do." he said simply as he walked in and shut the door. He was going to say something about the kid being lucky that he looked like his father, but Owen opted against that as well, it was as if Lyssa softened him.

"Sure, but I need to put this in the kitchen first." Said as he held up the bottle of milk. "Unless you want it to spoil." Owen was mostly joking. "I'll be back in a moment." With that he disappeared towards where he assumed the kitchen was, finally finding it and putting the milk away.

After a few moments he returned and took the small child from Lyssa, without a second thought. "Will you tell me more about you? About our son?"

Lyssa sat on a chair arm as she watched Owen with Danny it was far too easy for her then to forget that he didn't know a thing about her or the family. It was only when he asked did she realise.

"Sure." She picked up one of Danny's teddy bears from one of the bags she'd packed and held it like she was still holding her baby. "I'm like Jack, as you and well Ianto have told me before. I can't argue it's true. I'm from the future, I used to be a time agent like he was but due to a few interesting quirks of personality I had to make a run for it. That and I stole a lot of top secret files from them. Which they still deny." She paused a moment.

"I'm the youngest of three. My mother had the bloody amazing idea of calling us all after Greek deities. Artemis and Morpheus. My brother's dead though. If he hadn't died I wouldn't be here I guess. I was smart. Genius beyond even my times standards and for someone off a backwater rock it got attention. I couldn't really function without him. He joined the agency I do too. I put an end to the name thing with ours. Danny-bear is really Daniel James and we have a ten year old called Rain Ianta, both Harpers. Danny's middle name is my surname which worked nicely." She moved the bear rom one arm to another still holding it protectively. "What else do you want to know, cause there's lots."

	He listened as he held the small child in his arms, to say that Owen was speechless would be an understatement. "Why did you steal the files?" Owen finally asked, sure there were other questions but that one was the most pressing in Owen's mind. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Second door, I left it open, so you can't see it has his name on it." She leaned in to give Danny a kiss. "Love you little one." She could embarass herself quite well how much she adored her little boy. She blushed slightly looking up at Owen after. "I'll make us coffee." Owen nodded and with one last look at the woman he was to call his wife he carried Danny to his room. The young boy was actually quite easy to get to relax, laying in his bed staring up at who he saw as his dad, but as soon as Owen tried to leave he seemed to get upset. Finally caving Owent sat beside the bed, and pulled a story book out to read hoping Danny would fall asleep soon.

Owen couldn't help but think that if Jack or Gwen ever saw this they would laugh and he would have to hurt them, he silently thanked the gods that neither were there to see him like this...domesticated.

Lyssa left the coffe brewing and stood in the doorway to Danny's room, making sure she couldn't be seen by him so it wouldn't disturb Owen either.

If Lyssa had known what he was thinking she would have told him Jack had kids himself so he couldn't judge and if Gwen or anyone tried anything then they'd have her to face. Which wouldn't end well for anyone. Lyssa would protect her family to her last breath.
