Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:sadako yamamura, teja wartooth

Who: Teja and 359, later Sadako, and even later Ofdensen
What: Anger, then werewolves.
When: Tonight
Where: Right outside Mordhaus.
Warnings: Very much yes.

359 had made a few observations on the way Sadako dressed and applied her new learning towards what she was wearing tonight.  A longsleeved black cashmere sweater, a muter gray argyle-patterned knee-length skirt, closed-toe flats, and yes even pantyhose.  They had a couple minor runs in them already, but points to her for the effort.  An outfit worn with disdain and purely out of necessity.  Her hair was down to cover the scars on her neck.  If you didn't count the knives strapped to her thigh under the skirt and the gym bag she carried that was full of murder weapons, she could've been going to church.

And she was.

She was waiting patiently out front for Teja.  He'd been acting weird since.. not long into their relationship, actually.  Going back and forth on these outings with her was starting to grate on her patience.  Had she been right all along about this whole thing being a terrible idea?

Fuck that.  He'd come around.

Teja was dressed as well as every other day he spent in the office - a modest business suit with a muted maroon tie. Under his jacket, he had hidden several knives, a few coils of guitar string (Gibson LP Signature Gauge nickel-wound, because it was strong and made a better garrote wire than actual guitar strings) and a gun, just in case things got bad. Not that he was planning on having anyone that 359 targeted being a problem - he was thinking more along the lines of 359, herself. Under his shirt, he had a bulletproof vest. In fact, under all his clothes, he had on an extra layer that would make slashing wounds much less a trouble. He was being careful. Not to mention, he also had his so called life insurance, a homing beacon to which only one other person knew the frequency.

He pulled his hair into a ponytail at the nape of his neck and shaved and clipped his goatee, and after he looked presentable, he went to find 359. Seeing her out front, he approached, putting his hand at the small of her back. She was lovely, indeed. "You look different. Who knew you could look so respectable?" He commented.

The touch on her back brought a twitch to her mouth and she kissed him, aggressive as always in her affections. For now, she forgot her misgivings. This was way too exciting to be brought down by minor doubts.

"I know, I fucking hate these clothes," she said after her lips had released his from their death grip. "But it's important, where we're going." Her eyes lit up in barely contained glee. "I think the hardest part of this is going to be the whole 'acting sad' bit."

There was a small smile twitching at the corner of Teja's lips after the kiss, and as he ran a hand over the corner of her jaw, he spoke, "It's rarely an act. So, where are we headed, my dear?"

The 'rarely an act' part went right over her head. She bit her lip in an almost 'stole the cookie for the cookie jar' expression as she explained.

"Three poor, poor 16-year-old girls were brutally stabbed to death in Texas by some kind of... knife-wielding maniac, can you imagine? To show just how disturbed we are by this heinous act, we're going to go to the candle-light vigil they're holding at her church and... show our support. Most of the community is going to be there. They're all going to be so very sad and distracted, I imagine." It was beyond evil. Even for her.

Teja paused from his rubbing the small of her back and stepped back. He blinked at her, and shook his head. "That's awful. I can't believe someone would do anything like that. Those poor girls." He didn't even know if he was saying it as a part of the act or not. It was honestly beyond what the klokateer had ever done. He was alright with the deaths of the girls, perhaps, but going to their funeral and slaughtering those who were grieving... That was beyond what he thought she'd be capable of.

"Robyn, I can't. It's not that I don't appreciate the brutality of the plan, or the wickedness with which you planned it, but there's no reason to go after people who are sincerely feeling the loss of their loved ones. That's brutal, itself." He stood straight and looked into her eyes. "Slaughter is one thing, but slaughter of those who are already in pain is no challenge."

She tilted her head, trying to figure out exactly what the problem was. "I didn't kill the kids, if that's what you're asking."

It made her wince just slightly to hear him use her real name. It bothered her, and combined with the rest of what he said it made her insides squirm. She could use that name to get around in this world, but he should know, he of all people should know that it wasn't her name.

She gave him an evaluating Look. "You've got a conscience." A simple statement weighted by disappointment. The roadie shrugged. "I guess we could go kill some idiots at a club if you want. I just wanted something that was for me and you to be... different, you know?" It was plain on her face that she'd only thought about making it original and hadn't weighed the morality of the situation. At all. Well, until right this second anyway. And the wheels of those gears turning in her head were also quite obvious.

It was a name that was one that would catch her attention beyond a number she'd been given. It worked. Teja tilted his head back and he looked down his nose at her. "I have a conscience, yes. And I'd rather like to keep it. What we have is already different. Plenty different. But if you want to bring it to a different level, this isn't the way to do it. Your life beyond these walls, and beyond Dethklok is something I never wanted to know, and I don't think I'd appreciate it. And I don't think we're very similar, to be honest. What I'm trying to say here, is that I've had time to think about what I want from life. Meeting Toki, and seeing... hearing him say that he was truly frightened of me was enough to make me want to reevaluate what really matters. Brutality isn't everything."

He scowled at her then, crossing his arms. "If you can't handle that, well I guess you can't handle me." He knew that sounded immature, but he was entitled.

A snarl to match his scowl. "I was right. I was fucking right, about you, and you didn't listen, you didn't fucking listen. I told you this, being with me, was too much for you. That eventually, you'd not just get sick of me but sickened by me." Her growled words were more wolfish than usual due to her new inner were. She still wasn't aware of its presence, but something sure as fuck was starting to rise in her.

She dropped the bag and started to reach for her butterfly knife by habit, but realized she had no pockets and it wasn't there. There was a bigger knife in the thigh holster, and her hand hovered by her side, waiting.

She was pacing now, continuing her rant, "You fucking.. WHY did you convince me, to give this a chance? When you knew, you know what I am, all I am, is this," she gestured to the castle, "and THIS," she held up the knife that she hadn't even been aware that she'd pulled out. "FUCK. AND YOU LET ME TRY TO TAKE YOU OUT WITH ME. YOU WOULDN'T JUST TELL ME THAT YOU COULDN'T DO IT BEFORE WE GOT HERE ALL READY TO GO. IF I'D JUST TAKEN YOU SOMEWHERE NORMAL, WOULD YOU WAIT TO BITCH OUT ON ME UNTIL THE LAST FUCKING SECOND BEFORE I STARTED CUTTING PIECES OFF SOME MOTHERFUCKER?" She was punctuating her words with the knife now. "WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO HONESTY, HUH TEJA?!"

And she stopped. Perfect stillness she looked in his eyes and a realization came.
"You. Were playing. With me."

Danger, danger.

Teja didn't move, save for watching her pace back and forth. He was standing straight, perfect posture as always, with his arms crossed in front of his chest. His fingers were tracing the outlines of two daggers in his jacket as she ranted and raved. When she finished with her rant and she came to a conclusion, he shook his head.

"You're wrong. I thought it would work, but it didn't. I'm not all-knowing, 359. I'm just not looking for this kind of relationship. Anyway, I work better alone. I know that, now." His voice was level and even, without anger, or patronizing as he usually had. "It's not that you're too much for me, it's that I can't take this path anymore. If you want to continue as we were, that's fine, I just can't do this. I can't, because I know even for you, this is beyond brutal." He uncrossed his arms, using the movement to draw out his knives, holding one in each hand.

"Don't do this, pretty. I'm not playing."

Her voice was just as even. She'd done all her yelling, that was over. She was too angry for yelling.

She wasn't even from the future, and she knew this was doomed. How could he not? And maybe her suggestion for this outing was a little beyond her own limits, but it was likely her subconscious had brought it up as a way to find out where his were. And she'd seen them. How could he possibly expect her to carry on like they had been, knowing what she knew now? No, ultimately her goal was to find someone as fucked as she was. And he wasn't it.

And she would've said all that. But something was closing up her throat and making it hard to speak. A second knife was produced and she mimicked his stance. "I'm not playing either," she choked out.

And as she went to make the first move, something stabbed at her middle. She staggered back in surprise, and looked at him like it must be something he was doing. The pain intensified to a point and she started to back up slowly, then dropped to her knees and finally all fours.

"What the fu-" was as far as she got before the change ripped through her, splitting and shredding her clothes. A black wolf had taken her place on this plane of reality. 359 was a petite woman, but as wolves rarely get larger than 60 pounds, this one had retained all of her mass and was much noticeably larger than natural.

It also had retained all of her anger. A split second after the change, it pounced with a hellish growl, knocking Teja over and pinning him down. A bulletproof vest would've protected him from a stab wound, but it would not protect him from getting his throat ripped out from an angry wolf.

The throat is what she went for first.

Teja went from worried for his own ass to worried for her when she staggered back. He let his guard down and stepped closer, hands still on the daggers as he looked her over, trying to figure out what was wrong. Then she started to change.

It was something out of his worst nightmare. He'd noticed a slight difference with her since Halloween, surely, but nothing like what he'd been seeing right that moment. His guard immediately went up once again and he stepped back, which only made it easier for the wolf... the fucking wolf to knock him onto the ground. He hit the ground and it knocked the wind out of him, and petrified for a split second, he wasn't able to keep the wolf from taking a hold of his throat. All he could do was fight back. He did, after he let out a muted yelp of pain as he felt his flesh give and break under the sharp teeth of the animal.

He clenched the handle of the one knife he still had a hold of, and drove it into her, between two ribs at her side. He took the path of least resistance, and most strength for his blow. He wasn't thinking it was 359, he never would have driven the knife that far, that deep, and that hard into her. He wanted to keep her alive, but it was different with fucking wolves. Too late, now. His heart was pumping at a feverpitch pace, the adrenaline was rushing in him, and it would set off the homing device. He also let out a mental scream to Sadako.

He would look back on this, and know that 359 would chide him for calling to Mommy for help, but he didn't care.

The wolf felt the knife, really felt it, but it did not let go. In fact, this intensified its furious anger. Wolf would tear the shit out of this boy who dared, dared to fuck with it.

Internally the wolf was bleeding but jaws stayed on target, worrying ravenously at the flesh, tearing off what it could and if it would die, it would die knowing it had taken the human that had so upset the Other self with it.

The wolf was brand new, only two changes old now, and it didn't know that non-silver knives couldn't kill it. It locked its jaws tight around Teja's throat, crushing with intent to kill.

Sadako heard Teja's scream before the signal from his homing device sounded. She was off without saying anything, running barefoot from her home to the nearest portkey. She couldn't feel any pain, and would heal herself later of any lacerations or frostbite later. Her only care was for her son. Something was happening.

She honed in on his psychic missives, the screaming and whimpering that she knew were inherently him. Any number of scenarios played out in her mind for what could be happening to him. A wolf ripping out his throat was not it. Even as she looked around for something to hit it with, she psychically stopped the pain receptors in Teja's body, reknit flesh, made his blood and heart move a little slower and beat a little more sluggishly.

A large treebranch would suffice, and she really really hoped that Teja would be well enough to help defend her. There wasn't that much human DNA for her to work with, so she reacted as best she could, swinging the branch like a golf club toward the animal's head.

Teja was in serious pain, unable to breath, or speak, or scream. But he was. He was screaming and fighting as best he could, in his mind, to keep focused, keep sane. He was attempting to stay lucid and not pass out from the shock to his body when Sadako finally came to him. He didn't feel anything as soon as she was within sight, and soon, he was able to breathe again, and he managed to get enough leverage to topple the wolf over the rest of the way when the branch swung.

It's her, Sadako! He dug the knife in deeper and twisted before pulling it out, snarling at the wolf, staring it down before scrambling to the side. He was torn between wanting to skin the animal, and save the woman to which he was still attracted.

Wolf is a tough motherfucker. Most supernatural creatures are. But it was definitely not happy about the blow to the head and the double knife wounds. It started to back off once it realized it was bleeding everywhere.

It probably would've limped off to the woods, but then the wounds started to close and the bleeding slowed. It shook its head violently, spraying bloody spit-foam everywhere and soon the knock on the head didn't bother it so much. It rolled right over the sudden news flash that both itself and the Hated Enemy could regenerate. Teja's staredown was an attempt to take dominance, and Wolf wasn't buying that for a second. It bared its red-slicked teeth at him, returning the challenge.

There was the little human now to deal with, but Wolf incorrectly assumed that Sadako was not the bigger threat here, and would take down Teja first.

After these few moments to recover, it lunged at Teja again.

She wasn't a warrior. Sadako had never had need to be, and it was evident in how she carried herself. Her shoulders were squared because she was angry, but any sort of grace she had was due to the time she'd spent learning to dance for the theater. She was focusing on trying to locate any human DNA the creature still had, all the while sending psychic missives.

Robyn. Stop this now.

All the while she managed to heal herself and Teja as well, looking around for something to hurt the creature with. She noticed a backpack filled with things and went over to it, moving faster than normal. She could still feel what was wrong with Teja, and after the creature inflicted wounds, they were healed in seconds. The bag held a knife which suited her just fine, and she ran over to jump on the creature's back, aimg to stab hard in the neck.

Teja snarled and pulled out his gun, training it on the wolf, and bared his teeth back at it. "You belong to me and this corporation, 359, no matter what you are." He spit out blood and sent a thought towards Sadako. Get a crew here, now. Five large men, tell them to bring the tranquilizers. Wake up Charlie, if he's asleep, I need to see him.

When the animal lunged at him, he aimed at the joint in one of her front legs, knowing that the force of the shot would send her off course and distract her. His aim was stellar, as he'd spent a year in training with the snipers. He dodged off to the opposite side and ran for the bag.

Robyn. The word pricked at Wolf's mind. That fucking name, that fucking name. It was part of what had triggered this all. Anger and frustration distracted it for a moment.

Wolf was stabbed, it whipped its head around to snap at Sadako, the closest enemy. She didn't smell like an enemy, in fact Wolf was pretty sure the Other would be pissed if this one got hurt. But Sadako had hurt it twice now and the animal was low on patience.

Then the shot. Guns. It remembered guns from its first change. This hurt. The words didn't mean much to it, only the Name and the Number, both of which registered deep within. It could hear some of the Other's thoughts, she was forced semi-awake now and she was screaming at the wolf to stop. More than everything else it knew pain, tremendous pain, its leg was fucked, there was pain in its neck, which it made worse by continuing to snap at Sadako, as now it couldn't run and it had no choice but to stay and fight this out.

Sadako had no joy hurting her friend where she couldn't feel it, but the wolf had hurt her son. She listened to Teja, sending back another thought. Don't die. I don't want to spend a week knowing I've failed you.

Then she was off and running for the nearest portkey to find the largest, most capable of the Klokateers. Such was her standing within the Dethklok machine that they obeyed her without question. She ran into Charles' room and stopped the men guarding it with a wave of her hand. She'd fix their paralysis later; at that moment she just wanted Charles. She moved into his room and gently shook him. 359 is a werewolf and trying to kill Teja. I've conscripted a few of the more capable Klokateers with animal tranquilizers and sent them to his location. I have to return to fix them all, I just wanted you to know.

Teja bit back his fear for the moment, waiting until Sadako was in the clear before he walked up to the wolf, staying out of its range of motion. "359. Hear me. You are in there. Come out." His tone wasn't anything but a command, an official order. "Stop this shit." He shuddered inwardly. In amongst all of this, he realized that somehow, if 359 was in that wolf, that wolf was always in 359. He'd never be able to trust her. His eyes narrowed and he kept the gun trained on her.

"Comply, soldier." He ordered. He was calling on a baser level understanding. He was a Wartooth, and by right, he had control and command over any Klokateer.

The poke at Charles' brain woke him up immediately, skipping the blurry-eyed stage that most people go through when waking up. Not only that, but he was instantly made aware of the situation. Sadako was faster than any alarm system, and he was grateful for that. He nodded, grabbed his gray robe, threw it on and hopped out of bed, stuffing his feet into house slippers as he put on his scowl and his glasses. In mere second he was stalking out the door with her and headed down to the situation. The paralysis of his employees neither surprised nor concerned him.

'Comply, soldier.' The command stuck and the wolf dropped its gaze and its tail. The anger drained out. It shifted its balance as it held up its busted but slowly re-forming leg but made no other move. The Klokateer brainwashing held its mind under strict control, and the wolf finally submitted. Obey Teja Wartooth, this is your function, said the Other. It couldn't change back as ordered, after the fight it didn't have the energy. But it didn't struggle either when the five hooded men came to hold it still and tranquilize it.

And right about then is when Ofdensen arrived, as they stuck the wolfroadie full of drugs.

Sadako immediately ran to Teja to see if he had any wounds, but beyond that, to give him the impression that he was being wrapped in a fiercely maternal hug. She didn't want to do it in front of Charles, if only because she knew he'd be embarrassed, but she did want him to know that he was paramount on her list of concerns.

Then she turned to 359. "Once she reverts I can make sure she's healed as a human as well. Perhaps even cure her. But now she's nothing I can control. I'm sorry." She hadn't really been faced with a situation she couldn't control, and it made her only slightly irritated.

Teja looked to Ofdensen and nodded, immediately comforted and relaxed by Sadako's presence. He was fully healed, though blood was on his throat and jacket. "Mister Ofdensen, I want this treated as a personal matter, not as an internal one. The matter of her being a fucking wolf, however... I want that dealt with as soon as possible. Sadako can fix her. If she infected me, I'll be certain to have miss Yamamura deal with that, as well. However, I want miss 359 to undergo a mental evaluation after this is over. Even for her, before this incident occurred, she was going far past the brink of what she normally is capable of."

He stood his ground with this. 359 had never scared him like she did tonight. He was uncomfortable with her going past the limits of what he knew her to do. The wolf part of it hadn't even sunk in, fully. His only thought was that he had to find 359 some help again. With Crane gone, she needed another psychiatrist.

Charles was also irritated. The number one thing on his mind right now was, a Klokateer had rebelled. That had never happened before. The wolf dropped to the ground, fully sleep and it took just one of the beefy roadies to scoop it up into his arms like a big floppy drugged puppy. "Lock her up until she changes back. And ah, throw some clothes in there with her." The Klokateer carried off the wolf to the dungeon and the other four followed, just in case it woke up and got loose again.

Now he turned to Teja, and listened. The idea of an army of werewolf roadies was something he entertained only briefly. It would create far more problems than it was worth. Even a small division would be problematic. "Alright, as soon as she returns to... normal," he hesitated to say the word, "see what you can do about her condition if you would, Miss Yamamura."

He pinched the bridge of his nose. "And we'll ah, find her another therapist." Without the rules, structure, and a very tight leash held by the corporation, he was well aware that 359 would have gone too far and been executed long ago. The disappearance of Dr Crane was an issue he should have seen coming.

Sadako watched to make sure that the Klokateer handling 359 did so gently, chastising him gently in his mind. She nodded at Ofdensen's words and sighed a little bit. She felt badly about 359, as if she'd contributed in some small way to the problems at hand. She should have noticed rogue DNA, but honestly she'd been more focused with injuries. She sighed and made a note to check on everyone to make sure any infections would be weeded out.

"I will check on all Klokateers as well, Mister Ofdensen. My apologies." She bowed her head slightly to the manager before turning to Teja.

My darling, are you all right? She didn't mean physically.

Teja bowed slightly to Charles, "Thank you. If I may speak on miss 359's behalf, sir, it was due to our romantic relationship that she turned on me. I attempted to sever the relationship, and she got furious. I'll see to it that it won't happen again. I also got her to obey when I treated her as a klokateer, and not a person. So there is that." He put his arm around Sadako's waist, then, and bowed his head.

Not even in the slightest. I can't trust her, now. I need a drink. His thoughts sounded young, and scared, and were laced with worry for the roadie. Though he knew that the trust was broken between them, he couldn't help but feel sympathy for 359.

"Not your fault, Miss Yamamura. Thank you."

He nodded at Teja's explanation and raised an eyebrow just a slight bit. "Okay." There wasn't much else he could say to that. He had already made it known that he disapproved of office relationships, especially any having to do with that particular employee. It didn't need to be reiterated. Teja was physically alright, Sadako was there to see to his mental state, 359 was probably spending the night safely locked away in the dungeon, and despite Teja's defense of her he was probably going to have to come up with some kind of consequence for her actions. Whether or not that was a necessity and if so what it would be was something he'd have to sleep on. Crisis over, it was probably time for bed. "Well. It's very late. Miss Yamamura. Teja." He nodded to them both. "Goodnight." And back to his room he returned.

Tranqs work fast through werewolf systems. It was about an hour before 359 woke up, naked, under some kind of scratchy blanket. Downers did not sit well with her, her skin was pins and needles and her brain felt fuzzy.

It took a few minutes to fully remember everything that had just happened. After which, there was only one word to fully encompass how she felt. "FUUUUUCK!" She hit her head against the wall.

Her arm had a medium hole in it were she'd been shot, it was slowly closing up. There were other injuries too, also healing. It would've been much faster if her body hadn't had to deal with the tranqs on top of everything else. She was starving and nauseous. There were clothes, and she pulled them on, slowly, then returned to her spot, back against the wall. She held her throbbing head in her hands, quietly swearing to herself.

Today sucked.

She wrapped her arms around her son after he hugged her first, burying her head in his side. She nodded to Ofdensen, wishing him a good night's rest and abating the slight headache that he probably could have felt coming on. Tension headaches weren't fun for anyone.

Once they were alone, she smoothed out Teja's hair, tiptoeing upward to kiss him on the cheek. "We can drink, or wait for 359 to wake up so I can fix things. Or both. It depends on how fast you want things taken care of. Whatever you want, darling."

Teja took a moment after Charles left to regain his bearings, going from business to himself again after a few deep breaths, before wrapping his arms tight around Sadako. "No, it's alright, I think... I think I should..."

It occurred to him that he didn't know what he should do, and that scared him most of all. "She'll be alright, right?"

When the other klokateers figured out she was awake, they notified Ofdensen. Without resorting to those particular words, he basically told them to fuck off and leave her there til the morning, and he went back to sleep.

"I'd still like to check in on her, in case her regenerative abilities cease after she reverts to human." 359 was her friend, after all. She didn't move away from hugging her son, and she was soon up to date on everything without saying a word. "You're not wrong, you know."

Certainly, he wanted to make sure she was alright, as well. He nodded. "Go look in on her. I'll be in my room." That said, Teja slipped away from Sadako and trudged through the front door, into the long hallway which led him to his room. He pulled the tie from his neck and saw that it was tattered.

Well, that breakup could have gone better.
