Who: Steve and Psyche
What: Walking on the beach
Where: Ocean Beach, San Diego, CA
When: Saturday evening

It was a slightly chilly night but that didn't keep Steve from wearing knee-length shorts on the beach. He was barefoot, with only a San Diego State sweatshirt on to keep him warm (an intern had purchased it for him, after she'd seen him looking cold in the office). Obviously the man was troubled as he walked through the moonlit sand, eyes shifting from the ground at his feet to the glittering ocean. Some nights he just couldn't fall asleep due to the fact he couldn't stop thinking. Maybe it was a silly thing to suffer from but it was what he had to deal with.

In his mind he kept seeing Tony, the few moments he remembered before he died. He could see his friends - his fellow super heroes - being hurt, apprehended and made into the villains. It seemed almost worse than what Hitler had done to the Jews in his time. Almost. All the memories kept him from sleeping so he took a port key to San Diego, Ocean Beach specifically, since he found the ocean soothing. Calming.

He took out his cell phone and left a message on the boards for Psyche, a faint smile crossing his lips when she said she'd be there. Pausing in his walk he turned toward the ocean and stared out at it's glistening waters, thoughtful.
